Like the franchise, hate the new protagonist.
The only thing keeping my hype down is Unreal engine 5, That engine is such a resource demanding with no real way to lower the demands. Like games where you can barely see 5 feet in front of you still needs to render everything all at once because Unreal is awful at streaming in assets, CDPR should have made a custom engine for this game.

Witcher 4 is releasing in 2027 , and its confirmed at this point. In the same investor calls , CEO has said that it generally takes 4-5 years from pre-production to release. Knowing it began pre-production in 2022 and the conception began in 2020, there's no reason for this game to not release in 2027.
Immagine a Witcher-Game where you are born as a Boy somewhere and you father "lost" you throu the law of suprise. You will than have to join a witcher school and go throu the training – and thats the start of the game.
Thinking it would be a trilogy without one game coming out is sounding like most failed projects these past years.
They aren't giving a trailer cause they're trying to avoid reigniting outrage. If no one is talking about it by the time its released, people are more likely to buy it with no salt fresh in the brain.
