Amongst the many different titles released by Telltale Games over the years, 2013’s The Wolf Among Us remains one of the studio’s most celebrated, with the series serving as one of the first to see continued support in the wake of the studio’s closure and subsequent IP acquisition. In anticipation of the arrival of its sequel next year, the team are set to release The Wolf Among Us Remastered later this month. Curiously, its pricing is a bit all over the place depending on which platform you choose to pick it up on.
Ahead of the game’s official launch on the 29th of October, the team at LCG Entertainment / Telltale Games offered a breakdown of its pricing strategy as it pertains to The Wolf Among Us Remastered.
Retailing for $24.99, the game will benefit from a hefty discount during its first two weeks on the market – though not on every platform.
Those planning to pick the game up on Steam, the Epic Games Store or Xbox will enjoy a healthy 20% discount – rising to 50% off for those who own the original game on their respective platforms.
Those on PlayStation however have been given a slightly different deal. While PS Plus subscribers will be treated to the same offer as Xbox/PC (meaning 20% off for new players and 50% off for owners of the original), non-members will have to pay full price for The Wolf Among Us Remastered. Should you already own the original on PlayStation however, you will still get a discount – albeit just 30% off instead.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered is also set to come to the Nintendo Switch, though with no release date currently announced, we will have to wait to learn what the parameters of its own launch discount will wind up being.
