Valve wins life!
Praise Gaben!
The steam frame is primarily a virtual screen device to play flat games. VR is clearly a side use case. Not sure if steam frame is good news for vr.
3d? Everything? Omg now the steam frame excites me
You knew what you were doing with that thumbnail, playing with our emotions
blue light lenses? are you having trouble falling asleep? thats the ONLY reason youd want to use a blue filter! FYI 🙂
All flat games playable in 3D would be amazing. I wonder what the tricks they’re considering for making it work are that Vorpx couldn’t pull off.
While there are a lot of games using 3D graphics that simply will not work well in VR without substantial redesigning (and I'm saying this as a compliment as the usual culprit is innovation leading to somebody figuring out how to effectively "cheat" a great 3D effect without the full work of rendering to a camera), it's still a big deal. I feel we're in a stage where visionaries aren't what's needed so much as the public figuring out what works in terms of interfaces, the greater annoyance of loading screens in VR where somebody can't just pay attention to something else for ten seconds, chat, and so on. Quick and dirty shoving things onto VR could yield better results than cultivating exclusive VR games.
Can you please check in with the devs working on Gunman:Contracts and see when we will get our hands on it?
i wish you would have said VR not 3D….
If the any game in vr is true this is what iv been waiting for
What's better with VR has always been the sense of scale and presence for me. You don't have that with 3D gaming. How much better can it be?
all we need is a dayz or FiveM gta game and that would be amazing for vr and change everything
If when i can try Vr…
I try it with glasses (about -13)
i help me be more silent in playing game and chill night (about +200% to stealth)
Use translator (Ru to Eng) someplace for write it message
I HOPED on getting VR someday….
All people have to realize we are talking a flat screen with 3D it wont automatically make all games VR. Huge difference. so keep that in mind. still cool though
CONGRATULATIONS on the 100K subscribers! One of my favorite VR news sites. Onwards to 200K.
I don't think the pull from meta is a good thing? They're just pivoting to AI instead?
the news about stereoscopic 3D gaming is wrong. valve said that: “For […] stereoscopic 3D content on [Frame], we don’t currently support it, but it’s on our list.”
so it's to display 3D content, not convert 2D games to 3D. that's a whole different topic and way more complicated. and there are not many native 3D games. maybe minecraft
As someone who hates motion controllers but loves stereoscopic 3D this is great news 😊
Mucho se sigue avanzando con los muchos proyectos para el avance y bien del pueblo y país
I don't understand what the problem is with making two cameras in the game and broadcasting it to the eyes, like in VR videos?
Half life 3 will be a regular game and vr with steam frame.
accent keeps peeking out as you speak lol
Stereoscopic 3d for flat games? That changes everything!
So if I can exit my ship in Elite dangerous which I always play in. VR be in 3D scopic view for on foot. That would be definitely a plus considering that flat miserable theater screen have
I had 20/20 too until I turned 40… Now at 44 my close-up game is rough. Interestingly enough, I focus perfectly on close-up things in VR, such as reading tiny print.
Exactly 100,000 subs now. Congratulations.
Congrats, there are the 100000.
What game is this at the 0:30 mark, it looks amazing, like a combat version of Aircar?
Edit: Nevermind, it is G-Rebels as mentioned later, thanks for bringing it to my attention, never heard of it before, wishlisted!
If Half-Life 3 really does come out, imagine all the memes that will ensue.
This is HUGE! The extra stereoscopic immersion is massive. HYPE!
Prescription lenses are a must have Q3/Q3+ (or other headset) upgrade along with a weight distributing head-strap like Bob VR S3 Pro. Both game changers! Another top mention would be a good wireless charging dock
😎👍👍
How do I join the thrusday gaming thing?
You’re making it seem like Meta just did something good for VR. The only thing good that Meta is doing is abandoning VR go ahead and read the news. And you will see that they are rolling back spending and laying off people to go towards AI instead of VR. I’ve said this for years we can’t just let one person dictate the direction of virtual reality. If it wasn’t for Zuckerberg VR games would be far more advanced by now. Newsflash VR isn’t mainstream no matter how many millions of dollars he threw at it. All he did was dumb down VR gaming industry progression
Hey subbed like and comment ! I didn't realize I wasn't subbed.
I want the steam frame VR to take advantage of dynamic foveated rendering. Why can't we just go balls to the wall and have 50% or 70% performance gains from less GPU load?
I’ve noticed over the last few months on the Meta App, that I can’t easily find the games store, it just keeps pushing the Horizons World trash. 🤦🏻
congratulations on 100k!
Horizon Worlds is the biggest reason why I've been desperate to ditch the Quest.
Congratulations! Your channel is showing 100K subs now!
