In just a few months, Wednesday fans will be spending their summer holidays at Nevermore Academy as they welcome back Season 2 of the hit Netflix series. The streaming giant is ramping up its story with a bunch of new characters who will be joining the cast, and now one of them is a star from Tim Burton’s classic film, Edward Scissorhands. Fans have already seen that Lady Gaga will be joining the cast of season two of Wednesday also, but some worried viewers have been a bit concerned lately as the Poker Face singer has been absent from the show’s trailers.
It has been over two years since fans last saw the gothic-loving family and Jenna Ortega’s dark teenage character with the best dance ever. Starring Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, Wednesday‘s supernaturally infused mystery tells the story of Wednesday Addams as she becomes a student at Nevermore Academy. While attempting to hone her powerful psychic ability, she ends up trying to solve a puzzle from her parents’ past while also getting roped into a local murder. Wednesday Season 2 is on its way to Netflix this year, dropping in two parts, but before that, an Edward Scissorhands reunion looks to be taking place as fans prepare for their return to the series.

Anthony Michael Hall Will Be Joining the Cast of Wednesday Season 2
As reported by Variety, Anthony Michael Hall has joined the second season of Wednesday in an undisclosed, mysterious role. The casting marks a reunion between Hall and director Tim Burton, who worked together 35 years ago on the 1990 film Edward Scissorhands, which also stars Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder, Dianne Wiest, and the late great Vincent Price. Hall played Jim in the movie, a local bully who was plagued with jealousy and possessiveness, which eventually led to a tragic confrontation with Edward. Hall also starred in many John Hughes films, like the 1983 comedy National Lampoon’s Vacation, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Weird Science.
Along with Hall, Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah B. Taylor, Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suatamo are all set to make their appearance in Wednesday Season 2. Recently, Jenna Ortega revealed the lessons she has learned from Wednesday Season 2, stating that she feels more “empowered” now to speak her mind after backlash regarding comments made concerning changes she implemented in the script.
Christina Ricci, whose role as the quirky and sardonic-humored Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family and its sequel, Addams Family Values, reflected on the lasting impact of her iconic role as Wednesday Addams, saying it still influences her. Ricci said that her time as the dark teen was the role she is best known for, and she spent much of her childhood in the shoes of Wednesday, so she still feels very connected to the character many years later. “She had a huge influence on me and my career,” expressed Ricci.
Wednesday Season 2, part one, will be released on August 6, while the second section of episodes will debut on September 3 via Netflix.
