I'm not canceling, but I am downgrading to a much more reasonable core game pass. Honestly the only reason I have it is for live, which should be a default feature, not a subscription.

I was ultimate just really due to inertia, i dont really play online and have been mostly using it for games like dead space and sod2.
But yeah for something i bearly use thats a bit much, i dont need ultimate to stream apple + or netflix lol.

Honestly when you consider ubisoft always charging a premium for their products including making fans beg for old games to be released again and all the other stuff xbox added the price is justified. It just may bring some people into it but have some people leave over time. People will move on tiers where they feel comfortable for the price
I did the conversion trick to ultimate conveniently the day before the hike. So glad for that, but wow that was insanely lucky timing
My subscription expires November 14th this year I will not renew it at 30 dollars a month I will however go to the essential tear but that's it

I have been calling the price getting up theer for a while, but I really didn't expect it to jump right past $25.
The price is the price and the reason why all these companies keep jacking up the prices of everything is because people keep giving them money. If you don't like what these corporations are doing, then you only have one path forward. Deal with the FOMO and stop giving them your money. It is pretty much the only thing that you can really do. Online outrage and negative comments are worth less than nothing so long as everyone keeps paying.
Probably in the minority but I don’t get how people are so bothered by subscriptions or this price hike. The price increased by 2 Red Bulls per month….come on. Haven’t played or owned an Xbox since 2016 and immediately went back to PlayStation. Yeah the $30 is a lot but you’re already spending 20$. If 10$ makes or breaks you then maybe game pass shouldn’t be a subscription in the first place for you
I can buy a secondhand series x in mint condition, with a controller, for the cost of a year of gamepass now.
I'm in the uk and am ok with the price hike. If I had to buy all the games I play, it'll cost me 2 years of game pass ultimate to get half of them on sale. I game, don't have any film or tv subscriptions. Everything is going up, cost of living is crazy. Plus don't feel like my playstation plus friends getting screwed left, right and center

Sweet I don't know what's better between PlayStation and Xbox raising their online playing please to $70, to $80 games, to $600 systems just because it comes with one game this is getting ridiculous and I'm glad I'm quitting gaming because the average person can't afford to do it anymore💔. I truly used to love playing video games I used to love being able to throw myself into it being able to use my imagination for once instead of living in this cruel world that thinks that you just need to let it die and now I need to let it die because I can't afford to keep it.

Xbox live. Just the LIVE PART…should be Free now. If i BUY THE GAME. I should play it online for FREE NOW. When they tell me Game Pass. They messed up KILLING the name "Xbox Live" and molding it into "Game Pass" its now Game Pass Standard…..ok no. Im doin. I rather just have the BASIC online. Cause i don't got alot i want to play online. And i don't need any extra games i don't care to try…so….make it free. Cause free to plays are free online…why not if you own it. You can play it.
