Bandages are the main collectible in Super Meat Boy 3D and are used to unlock new characters. This guide will walk players through collecting all 15 Bandages for the platformer’s first world, The Forest. There is 1 Bandage per level in Super Meat Boy 3D, but importantly, players must complete the level after picking up the Bandage to fully unlock it. With how difficult the game can get, this will likely mean more attempts than usual.
The 10 Greatest Platformer Masterpieces Of All Time, Ranked
From Super Mario Bros. to Astro Bot, explore the evolution of platformers and how they have redefined the gaming industry.
Bandages are often out of sight in Super Meat Boy 3D, so look for other places to jump to off-camera, and particularly look for other hazards as they are likely blocking a Bandage or a secret route.
Level 1 – Easy Start Bandage
The first Bandage of the game is easy to find and reach. Right before the end of the level, climb up a stack of blocks on the left rather than those on the right. The Bandage is at the top and will become visible once climbing up the first block.
Level 2 – Sawbot Struggle Bandage
After the first big jump, turn back and jump down the ledge with the Bandage on it. Players can then use lots of little jumps to climb the wall.
Level 3 – The Great Gap Bandage
Instead of walking on the huge tree trunk bridge, run and make a big jump to the right. There is a tall platform off camera with the Bandage on top. This jump isn’t too hard, but getting back is harder without much room for a run-up. Make use of the mid-air dash.
Level 4 – Cave Dash Bandage
This Bandage is completely hidden. After the first jump, and climbing up the wall. Instead of heading left to complete the level, jump up and right through some green leaves. Through here, there are three rotating objects to jump over, and the Bandage at the end.
Upcoming Indie Platformers With Crazy Mechanics
Indie platformers love to experiment with their mechanics, and these upcoming games are showing their creativity with some wild gameplay ideas.
Level 5 – Canyon Crush Bandage
On the third jump of the Canyon Crush level, aim lower and crash through the purple barrier instead of going for the upper ledge. This isn’t too hard, but after picking the Bandage up, players will need to jump and dash across to the metal wall and jump back to where they started.
Level 6 – Cliff Climb Bandage
At the end of the Cliff Climb level, instead of heading right to complete it, first head left. You should be able to see a horizontal grinder to the left with a wall to jump on above. This leads to a metal platform where the Bandage awaits.
Level 7 – Squirrel Hole Bandage
Look for the shop fairly early on in the level. Then climb to the level above, and on the right, there is a raised gap. The Bandage is at the end of the gap, but be wary of the moving slicer.

Level 8 – Meat Forest Bandage
On the Meat Forest level, the Bandage is fairly easy to spot early on at just the second obstacle. However, it requires timing to pick up, as there are two rotating and sharp cylinders. Thankfully, it’s safe to stand on the platform where the Bandage is found, so it’s possible to wait and do this in two parts.
Level 9 – Valley Of The Flying Sawblades Bandage
After climbing up the first part, players will jump over flying sawblades and then crash through a purple barrier. Next, instead of climbing the large tree trunk split in half, jump down to get the Bandage, but beware of some sawblades flying sideways here. Players can then reclimb.
Level 10 – Suicide Siege Bandage
The Suicide Siege Bandage is tricky to see, but thankfully almost at the start and easy to get. After making the initial jump and dodging the flying sawblades, stop between the two rows of grinders. Then, jump over the left of these into a small recess where the Bandage awaits.
Level 11 – Spelunking Bandage
For the Spelunking level in Super Meat Boy 3D, the Bandage is found right at the end. At this stage, you’ll be falling, and the end is to the right. However, the Bandage is to the far left over a hazard, so you’ll need to make a big jump. To get back, you’ll need lots of small wall jumps.
Level 12 – Thorn Trail Bandage
Right at the end, avoid the finish spot, and from this block jump far to the right using the wall if needed. There’s another jut of land with the Bandage on, and then the player can go back the way they came to complete the Thorn Trail level.
Level 13 – Burning Valley Bandage
After climbing the initial wall and jumping over some flying sawblades, players will traverse along a horizontal wall at high speed. To complete the level normally, they would then carry on forward and dash to the left. However, to get the Bandage, jump over the wall and to the right.
Best Triple-A Platformers That Aren’t Mario
Mario may be a household name in the triple-a platformer space, but these other games show that the genre is ripe for plumber-free experimentation.
Level 14 – Treetop Trials Bandage
Just before the end of the level, players will arrive on a wooden platform with two large blue robots wielding saws in the distance. The Bandage for Treetop Trials is hidden inside a gap on this platform. Jump over the outer wooden wall of this gap and fall down to collect the Bandage, then use the front metal wall to climb out.
Level 15 – Rusty Outlook Bandage
After jumping through some thorns in a more enclosed section of the level, players will see large burning logs in front of them. The Bandage is above these logs and will require lots of small wall jumps. There is also danger behind and above the Bandage, so positioning is key.
