It may be in early access and still in alpha stages of development, but Ashes Of Creation has a clear vision for its MMORPG. An integral part of this expansive and exciting world is the role you play as a citizen of this realm. A thriving land needs more than just fighters and mages; there is enough space for people of all professions.
Artisans are the ones who gather, process, and craft items, and if you learn these skills yourself, you become invaluable to those around you. Here is everything you need to know about Artisan Professions in Ashes Of Creation.
All Artisan Professions In Ashes Of Creation
There are three types of Artisan classes with multiple professions, all of which involve resources you can find and buy throughout the land: Gathering, Processing, and Crafting.
Ashes Of Creation will thrive on the cooperation of its players, with different people focusing on specific professions, particularly within a team or guild.
When you first start playing, you have some rudimentary tools you can use to gather resources, such as wood and stone. Eventually, you can upgrade these tools or claim better tools as a reward for a quest such as Short Term Service in Briarmoor.
Your character’s race, class, or religion will not have any bearing on what profession you can choose.

Ashes Of Creation: Complete Guide To Races
The race is on! Which character type should you choose in Ashes Of Creation?
Every profession can be progressed by earning experience; in essence, your character learns by performing the task. You earn EXP in that area, progress until you earn a Skill Point, and spend it in the Artisan Skill Tree.
Once you level up, you can ask a professional or specialist in any settlement to promote your Profession Certification. This can only be done by the relevant artisan, so, for instance, a Fashion Specialist can promote (or demote) your Weaving Certificate.
You may want to demote your Profession Certificate because you can only hold a certain number of certificates as you progress. If you would rather be a Grandmaster Weaver but hold certifications in Tailoring and Tanning, you have to swap one out.

All professions require the correct gear or tools, which can be equipped in your inventory. You have some tools to start with, but these will eventually need replacing or repairing. As you progress in your profession, your tools will begin to last longer as your character becomes better at using them correctly.
Gear can assist your progression by boosting your efficiency and the quality of whatever you are gathering, processing, or crafting.
The better your tool, the more yield you will receive and the quicker you will gather your resources.

When approaching settlements or freeholds, zoom in on the map and look for the relevant icon, or hover your mouse over the node to see what workstation can be found in that spot.
