World of Warcraft: Dragonflight — How to Get Onyx Annulet and Primordial Stones

With the addition of the Forbidden Reach in Patch 10.0.7, you can now learn how to get and use the Onyx Annulet and Primordial Stones in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. The Primordial Stones allow you to customize which effects you’d like on your Onyx Annulet, which can be upgraded and doesn’t have any default stats aside from Stamina and its three sockets for Primordial Stones.

How to Get and Use Onyx Annulet and Primordial Stones in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight

You’ll find the Onyx Annulet when you make your first trip into the Zskera Vaults. To enter the Zskera Vaults (29,53), you’ll need to gather Zskera Vault Keys from defeating rares, participating in events, or completing Weekly Quests on the Forbidden Reach.

The first time you enter a Zskera Vault, you’ll find a ring sparkling on the ground in the first floor of the Vault. When you pick up the ring, you’ll toggle the quest “The Forgotten Ring.”

Turn in the quest outside of the Vault at Morqut Islet, and you’ll receive another quest called “Primordial Embellishment.” This will send you into the Vaults again where you’ll pick up a Jeweler’s Kit on the first floor and an Anvil on the second. The rooms containing them are circled in blue on your minimap.

Primordial Stones can be found within the Vaults, or you can pick up Condensed Stones from Rares and Events on the island. When you turn in the quest, tools will be available for you to use to break down Primordial Stones you don’t want for fragments which act as currency to purchase new Condensed Stones. You can also pluck Primordial Stones from your Onyx Annulet to allow you to socket new ones.

Primordial Stones are socketed like any gem, so you just Shift + Right-click the Onyx Annulet and place the desired Stone into one of the three open sockets, then hit “Apply.”

Patch 10.0.7 added plenty past the Onyx Annulet for you to do with the return to the Forbidden Reach, which has rare spawns and events that you can complete for Gear Tokens and Elemental Overflow. As the available content grows, we’re working to add to our World of Warcraft guide hub to help you navigate the new opportunities in the game.
