People complaining so much about all these features that were in the classic SvR games. While I agree that SvR is goated and more modern games should strive to be like that, it was a DIFFERENT STUDIO
For 2K, a lot of these features are things they haven't done in years or at all. Until we get a wrestling game that actually lives up to the classics (probably not WWE, since 2K seems to have a monopoly on that brand), I'll count my blessings.
That said, I didn't play 2K25 because I refuse to buy a new one every year, so I might be biased due to missing wrestling games
This is the problem with releasing new games of a series yearly.
You get the same basic experience year after year while making fairly insignificant changes.
Wrestler models still look a previous generation behind. Still look and move so stiff.
And wtf is that fire? I swear I saw the same fire textures back in the PS2 games.
To me the game styles they had in the 90s for wrestling and sports games in general like nba live were much more fun. Now there is too much focus on what looks “real” and that takes away from what is actually fun, if they took the 90s game styles but tightened them up it would equate to more fun. Wrestlefest is still the best wrestling game of all time imo.
I remember how blown away i was looking at svr 2008 graphics for xbox 360 in the gameinformer magazine. Somehow its 2026 and the graphics are worse 😂

No “create a finisher” don’t care. The higher ups continues to show humans are ignorant beings who’ll buy anything whether it’s good or bad. Games aren’t even games anymore because they’re taking all the “game” elements away.
Love to see bruises and blood over time. Also clothes ripped and hair messed up.

This game literally hasn't changed since like 2k19, this is just sad. You can only take this old, non physics based system so far. The graphics have arguably gotten worse besides resolution, and everything just looks bad.
I've been buying WWE 2K games every year, but I have to say, I won’t be purchasing this year’s edition. It’s just too expensive! And don’t even get me started on how 2K locks even more cool content behind pay-to-win game modes, like loot boxes. I no longer support this anti-consumer behavior. I really wish the whole gambling aspect was never introduced. I miss the old days when you could simply unlock everything by playing the game.
2026 may be the best year for gamers because john wick, god of war , gta 6, resident evil requiem and wwe2k26

The last game I played was smackdown around 2006. I was wondering how a modern wrestling game might look 20 years later. And it's actually pretty disappointing. There are games out there where whole worlds are simulated with insane amounts of detail and realism. WWE 2K26 only has to take care of very few characters and a pretty limited space and it still looks mediocre at best… wtf
I Quit and Inferno have already been in WWE games. Taking them away then putting them back in doesn't make them 'new'

It’s still the same i bought 2k25 last year and i wont make that mistake again
