Resident Evil 2 Remake Review Roundup: As Expected, the Game is Phenomenal

Capcom has set today, January 22, the day reviews for their upcoming horror classic remake to go live! And as we mostly all expected, Resident Evil 2 Remake, is absolutely killing it critically. At the moment, the title is sitting at 91 percent on Metacritic with 44 reviews. Reviewers are stating that the game is not just a retelling of the same story, there are new additions that make the game feel like its a brand new release from 2019. It’s a return to form for the classic franchise, and for fans of the series, that is huge! With reviews now out, my personal hype level is through the roof! I can’t wait to get my hands on the game later this week. Capcom did a fantastic job of resurrecting all the best parts of the classic Resident Evil 2 and making them look, sound, and play like a 2019 game. If you’re of the mind that the series had lost its way for a while there, this game is very much a return to form. The zombie combat is satisfying and exploring the dilapidated ruins of Raccoon City is a thrill. read more
