I think you were a bit harsh on Cthulu. It really was not that bad. I liked the scenery and looking at the details. I won't pretend it was super exciting or anything but it was super chill and cool enough that I can overlook some of the negatives.
They need to make a telltale style The Thing game.
I was a gamer during the 83 crash. The similarity between then and now were the number of remakes, clones, and rushed production with sub par QA. Who is to blame? Everybody. Nobody wants to work due to burnout or a larger than life ego but everybody still wants to collect a paycheck without any sweat on the brow. Anytime you see this, a real sense of value becomes murky and markets start projecting future value over history when people were hungry to work. When you are satiated you will not do everything and anything to stand out. You find yourself in a false sense of security until you’re forced into unemployment and bankruptcy. If you want to live a successful and rich lifestyle you need to stay hungry. Go watch or rewatch There Will Be Blood. Hollywood wants you to feel shame for staying hungry but in the real world that is how you survive. And no you don’t need to spill any blood. Live your own life and don’t let others shame you.
The new legacy of kain game is a product of all the modern low quality low budget games. They are doing it for so many genres and gamers keep eating it up.
After about 20 hours banishers was so cringe I had to turn it off. Combat was middling AF but the story was good enough, until it absolutely wasn't. Couldn't reccomend it to anyone.
God Legacy of Kain series is one of the best. We will never get a good one again.

Code Vein 2 isn't as bad as Jake describes it. The gameplay and story gets alot better after the opening area.

Never played highguard, but what came to my mind was "i am sure i have seen this game before", and i though it looked like Destiny, just with other assets.

You should add Marathon to this list. It is down to less than 3k players on line at any time and as low as 856. Game is ugly and boring. It sold over 1.2 million and has no one still there.
