im a tired gaming dad. Cozy games are not for me because i feel like work after work
i like this channel , exactly what i need
Another great video! I can't remember if it's been covered but Cast N Chill lands right in this category!
I keep coming back to BloonsTD6 – you place monkeys. They pop balloons. Games are quick and there's some strategy. Plus, I can play co-op with my kids.
Badnorth is a great game I feel is made for this list.
I have recently started a cozy game I really enjoy playing in the evenings, which is Dave the Diver. The gameplay loop is very relaxing and you can play it in your own pace
+1 for Townscaper and Tiny Glade. So much fun, super relaxing!
Hidden folks is a good one. It's a Where's Wally / Waldo game all drawn and made by one guy, including the sound effects with his mouth. Very charming and relaxing.
I always keep going back to mini motorways. Sound design is so relaxing too.
Some of the games on this list I've never even heard of before.
A Little to the Left, though—I played that on the Switch, and it definitely left me scratching my head a few times. 😄
As for games I'd recommend, Railbound and Inbento are both great puzzle games.
It's been several weeks since I've played either one, but I'm a mood player. I have to be in the right frame of mind for certain types of games, and I just haven't been in a puzzle-game mood lately.
Sometimes, my problem with farming or management game is that I can't find the cozy aspect of the game because my brain always try to think what's the most efficient way to do things, or what's the perfect design for my house/garden/town/store/tavern/etc.
But at lest from this video I can find and try some other type of cozy games listed here.
Thanks, Dad. This is an excellent list for when one is numb-brain exhausted. I love RPGs, but they tend to be pretty stressful. 'Littlewood' looks like a perfect game for tired me. I get to play an RPG where the fate of the world is not in the balance, and just help the NPCs rebuild their town. A great choice. Thank you.
I’m sorry but these games look awful
The title cards are too fast. I don't read fast enough.
My go to cozy game is OpenTTD. It's free. I mean, you still can fail, but once you get the basics it's infinite sandbox cozy game with trains and trucks moving around
Evening all. I recently became a dad (5 months in) and I found this channel at the right time! Thank you so much.
My absolute recommendations for cozy games:
Alto's Adventure and its sequel, Alto's Odyssey. Available on every platform. They both have a Zen mode: no fail state. Just endless gameplay to an awesome soundtrack. Headphones are recommended.
Keep up the great work, Stefano. Off to change another nappy!
I turn 41 in a week. At work right now and exhausted. I was up late last night playing a few games on my down time. Thanks for sharing, I love this channel.
My personal list of YouTube Channels that actively try to respect my time:
-GamingDadLegends
Awesome list! Terra Nil is one of those games that I'd never take a second look at in the steam store but now that you've shown me a bit of the gameplay, Ill check it out!
You've knocked it out of the park (again). So many games here I haven't played yet and look perfect for me, thank you Legend!
My favorite YouTube channel. I love watching your videos and adding games to my wishlist while having 200+ games in my backlog. Luckily, they're mostly rougelikes that I can pop in at any time to waste an hour or two to decompress.
