# A major new chapter is coming to Honkai: Star Rail!
Version 4.6: “Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise” launches on PS5 on September 28, 2026, bringing a new story chapter, a new area, fresh characters, events, and plenty of gameplay additions.
Following the previous story’s revelations, the Trailblazer and Nihilux, alongside Pearl, will venture deep into the Life Sciences Institute to uncover the truth behind the dangerous plan to “weaponize the husk.”
🧬 Explore the Life Sciences Institute
The Life Sciences Institute serves as the source of all imagenae in Astropolis and was built under the leadership of Madam Yabuli, head of the IPC’s Technology Department.
Yabuli is pursuing a dangerous scheme that threatens the lives of Planarcadia’s residents, while suspected connections to a mysterious faction devoted to the Voracity add even more danger to the investigation.
Pearl plans to use the recovery of Leviathan Essence as a cover for a coordinated mission into the Institute alongside the Trailblazer and Nihilux.
⭐ Meet Pearl
Pearl, a new 5-star Ice character following the Path of Elation, becomes playable in Version 4.6.
As the CEO of Planarcadia, Pearl is known for her computational ability and rational decision-making. In combat, she can use Certified Banger to reduce damage taken by the entire team and enter Deep Learning to copy combat data from a designated teammate.
Her Enhanced ATK gains additional effects when working alongside Elation characters, while a full Elation team can unlock even more powerful bonuses.
🎮 New Events & Activities
Version 4.6 introduces several new activities, including:
🤖 Love, Ghosts & Robots – Help the resurrected Skott operate a mechatron workshop and grow it into a five-star project.
🎬 Interastral Peace Gala: One Take – Take part in a massive combat reality show.
🖼️ Astral Imagea – Collect Astral Imageas and bring them along on your adventures, then team up with friends for the Astral Slammers Squad! challenge.
👗 New Outfits
Two new outfits are also coming:
☁️ Hyacine – Warm Cotton Skies
🌙 Evanescia – Lunar Blossoming
Both will appear in the Outfit Show Window during Version 4.6.
🎲 Character & Light Cone Events
The limited 5-star Pearl and the Light Cone “Colors for Tomorrow” will receive boosted drop rates.
The first half also features the return of Evanescia, while Mortenax Blade returns during the second half.
🤖 More Updates
Version 4.6 continues expanding the Honkai: Star Rail experience with new story content, events, characters, and gameplay systems.
The update also previews a collaboration with Razer, featuring Silver Wolf LV.999-themed gaming peripherals.
