Ah, yes, Kartfield. It is, indeed, a piece of s***. I played it. I was tricked into buying it for my young sister because of a Switch eShop sale. I had not yet heard the horror stories.
Ok, so two things: on my second viewing of this I realized Dunkey said "…because the lyrics are so real to reality". Also, "Saga" means "story" in Swedish, which is what her ancestors are supposed to be in the game.
It's so fucking stupid how I watched this a month ago and found it funny as hell because I couldn't understand anything and now that I'm turning into a Remedy fan, I actually understand just about everything talked about in this video and found it strangely more coherent than the games.

I mean, the first game had me confused too, but I at least understood that alan wakes story basically became reality….now the 2nd game…I'm absolutely fucking clueless, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least enjoying the game lol

This vague storyline is killing me. The boring dialogue and story that goes nowhere with each completed chapter, is a like a video game version of a 90's soap opera. I'm going to my storage unit now, to grab AC mirage, to try and finish that game instead.

I did not expect that perfect transition to The Poet and the Muse at the end. I went from laughing at the funny video to being hit with a wave of emotion.
The herald of darkness section was lowkay one of the best and hyped sections iv'e played in recent years

Järvi literally means "Lake" in finnish, so he just literally translated his name for you to make it easier to pronounce lmao

Pretty fun game. The live action and game realities all shifting and coalescing was pretty well done and the game was gorgeous. The original songs were also incredibly good and stand on their own outside of the game. Main issue I had was the combat/inventory, which was basically a shitty retread of Resident Evil 7. Which sucked because the combat in the first game was fun and hectic and I was looking forward to how they expanded on it. Instead they totally butchered the flashlight, which should be what makes combat in Alan Wake stand out. 7/10 overall Remedy please hire someone who can make fun combat for your games.

He has to interview Wake because Alan Wake is a famous Writer portrayed by the Finnish Actor Ilkka Villi in the live-action segments but voiced by the american actor: Matthew, who is also Dr. Casper in their last game "Control" which had an Alan Wake DLC.
In the game his novels are based on a Max Payne-like character called "Alex Casey" who looks like the real-life writer of the game Sam Lake who appears as himself in Alan Wake 1 AND also looks like Max Payne from the game Max Payne 2, and Alex Casey in Alan Wake 2 and both characters by James Gunn, but it isnt really Max Payne because that ip is owned by Rockstar Games.
Now, because it is written by Sam Lake Alan Wake is trapped in an Evil Lake called the Dark Place which is just New York.
You also play as a new protagonist called "Saga Anderson" who teams up with an FBI agent called Alex Casey who looks identical to the Actor who portrays Alex Casey in the movies based on Alan Wake's books, and hes also a detective voiced by James Gunn but its just a coincidence.
Saga has psychic abilities and her daughter drowned because so did Alan Wakes wife because he (Alan) is a reincarnation of the writer Thomas Zane who's wife drowned.
but whats fucked up is that Alan Wake no longer has access to brand-name batteries.
Remember how Max Payne was like a comic book but then it had a TV Show in the game, Alan Wake 2 is the pinnacle of this, in the first game you watched commercials for Verizon Wireless but in Alan Wake 2 you watch commercials about this kinda stuff: (Oh shit this coffee is shit).
AND you can go into the Movie Theatre Level and watch an entire movie Directed by Thomas Zane father of Max Zane, top THAT you fucking stupid game Kart-Field.
Whats the best part of Alan Lake is the music, because the lyrics are so real to reality.
