Xbox January 2024’s Developer Direct gave a look into the all new strategy sim, with hopes to break some of the stigma surrounding the genre, and make the most accessible strategy sim yet. The game physically looks good but I worry because how good it looks will limit map size. I've always liked playing huge earth maps and this would be the dream based how it looks however I doubt because the graphic demands it will allow large maps

What does ARA stand for?
Civ VI was the end for me. I've been playing Civ games since the first one released. It peaked at III, slid down a bit on IV… then nose-dived on V. I suspect V took much the same path as modern music; dumbed-down and all flash- fine for quick distraction but no lasting substance.
Ara seems out to make real music again. Here's to hoping. 🙂

This game must live to expectation or else, its no other way around. Its not like Amplitude withe their Humandkind situation that still have Endless for coping after the fall.
I'm particularly excited about players taking their turn simultaneously, and the "living world" seems like it could have some real potential.
The tiles not being your basic hexagon shape is pretty interesting and could lead to some cool looking cities if the procedural generation is done right. I'm pretty excited!
This needs to be on the Xbox. We have Humankind (finally!). Now we need this to come to it.

Love seeing PC exclusives on my Xbox showcase. Game looks awesome but Jesus Christ it’s 2023, CK3 is on console, let’s make it a console/PC game at launch if you’re going to showcase on a console showcase. I know it says developer showcase but it’s for Xbox owners not PC players.
