Control Resonant: Exclusive Boss Fight Gameplay – IGN First

Resonants are the biggest threats that Control Resonant has to offer. The big bosses at the centre of the game’s corrupted New York play a massive role in Remedy’s latest story, as well as the world around them. We’ll get into that, and much more about how killing them might make your life harder in our next IGN First drop. For more on the game, you can check out the exclusive Metro Fault mission gameplay we revealed last week, as well as a deep dive into Control Resonant’s combat system and the philosophy behind it.

For now, it’s time to watch Dylan in action as he takes on the Central Resonant, a giant, fiery monster that loves to turn the floor into lava and spurt bursts of magma in your direction, as well as a little bit of run-up to the location of the mission itself. Enjoy!

I'm just not a fan of the melee style combat approach. Despite being wacky,FBC felt somewhat grounded and there was a logic behind It. I love the universe, but am not excited for a Devil May Control… 😓

Genuinely brave of them to completely abandon the slow and methodical pace of the first game. I hope it works out for them; but for me this is way too far in the other direction. It’s like anime levels of silly combat.

I'm just captivated by the movements, the fight movements. Both the design of the fight animations as well as the string of moves by the demo player, the choreography of the how they decide to go thru the fights.. Like a poetic death dance

The combat games coming out of China and Korea are vastly superior in every way to this.
Western devs really do need to lift their game.

If you're gonna make a basic ass CAG, at the very least put some cool background music during battles.

visuals and sounddesing are impressive, however this bossfight looks like temu firegiant with no moveset
extremely dmg spongy with tedious back and fourth and no substance, thats the type of boss you get impatient at, die from ground effect and get hyper annoyed because you have to fight the same lame shit again
