DLSS 5 expands to Hogwarts Legacy, War Thunder and more

Nearly two months after debuting in NBA 2K27, Nvidia’s DLSS 5 technology is finally headed to more games. Nvidia has announced that Hogwarts Legacy, War Thunder and Where Winds Meet will all receive DLSS 5 updates this month, marking the first wave of new titles to adopt the technology.

The highest-profile addition is Hogwarts Legacy, which will gain DLSS 5 support on the 5th of November. The update adds 3D-Guided Neural Rendering for RTX 50-series users, with Nvidia claiming improvements to lighting, materials and environmental detail. According to Nvidia, the game can run at up to 300FPS at 4K on an RTX 5090 when paired with DLSS Multi Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction and other DLSS technologies.

While DLSS 5 was one of the headline features introduced for the RTX 50-series generation, adoption has been noticeably slower than previous DLSS releases. Until now, NBA 2K27 has been the only title to support the technology. The arrival of three additional games in November suggests developers are beginning to embrace the feature, although the rollout remains considerably slower than previous DLSS iterations.

Hogwarts Legacy won’t be the only game updated this month. War Thunder will gain DLSS 5 support through its Eagle’s Shadow update in mid-November, while Where Winds Meet will add support on the 23rd of November in North America and the 24th of November globally. Nvidia also announced additional DLSS updates for several other games, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Phantom Blade Zero, Hunting Simulator 3 and GRAVHOUNDS.
