It’s crazy cause I played ALL of Mass Effect Andromeda and felt absolutely nothing at all while doing so but this 20 minute gameplay is enough to get me hyped and actually interested in the characters

I can tell that female tech character is going to annoy me eventually. She needs to have more range than being an antsy tech nerd. That can become annoying if she has too much dialogue.

Sadly, I've got little faith in a new Mass Effect game being able to hold a candle to the trilogy. I don't want it to fail, quite the opposite. ME is in the top 5 for video games and science-fiction settings in general, but BioWare is a company and things change. The people that made those games are mostly gone, the gaming industry has evolved (for better or worse), and BioWare has a losing track record over the last decade.
Exodus being a spiritual successor already has my interest piqued. The more I see of it the more excited I am. If the next Mass Effect ends up being a success, then we'll have two great sci-fi rpgs to play.

One thing that I’ve noticed with these so called narrative choice games is that back in the day we would have 4-5 different options to choose from now we’ve only been getting 2 options for dialogue to choose between lol

Kind of torn. Gameplay looks alright but all the side characters seem incredibly uninteresting. Reminds me of starfield & mass effect andromeda.
