There was no way that this game was gonna be called "Return" it's such a terrible name!! I knew it was gonna be called Revelation for a few reasons. 1) Return is not an appropriate name considering the finality of the FF7 series. A name like Return would imply a possible return or a future game that the stock holders would want to push because they want money. 2) Revelation comes from the Greek word Apokalypsis which is translated to Apocalypse which means "Divine Revealing". 3) Its because of the finality of the game that they have to reveal all of the truth and all of the mysteries so that the game does not end on a cliff hanger. 4) It makes sense of a revealing of the Weapons, Sephiroth, Jenova, revealing the truth about Cloud, revealing the truth about Aerith and Zack and revealing the truth about the life stream and the multi-verse. 5) The revealing of the meteor or it can be understood as the apocalypse of the meteor. 6) Revelation is also the final book.
When considering a name and a vision for a game you have to factor in business and creativity. Studying entertainment law and being a fan of the game I can see that things do have a logical path when you consider the proper variables. It was always going to be "Revelation" to end all mysteries and to best convey apocalyptic events.
The slap fight is coming ever so much closer! And since it's coming out on the Switch on day 1, does that mean cheater mode will be enabled so you'll have Platinum trophies in a few hours? Really wish they disabled trophies with cheats enabled.
