Over the last few months, Nikita Buyanov, the Escape from Tarkov creator, has been teasing this new hardcore sci-fi tactical extraction shooter. Often described as “Tarkov in Space”, it’s being developed by Rant Gaming and Cor3, aiming to bring the ultra realistic extraction genre to a futuristic setting. It’s a tactical FPS aimed at fans of deep, realistic combat simulation, featuring heavy customization and large-scale maps. The game is set in a post Cold War future, the world has undergone a global collapse, now dominated by corporations and space colonization. Players can utilize advanced biotechnology to modify their characters and manage personal station infrastructure. It will remind you of Escape from Tarkov and Marathon!

The game is set in a future where humanity has been unified under a massive technological and economic entity known as Core. After a global collapse called the “Age of Strife”, Core led the colonization of the Solar System and created CORIE, a framework that turned warfare into a structured, monetized, and remotely-managed industry.

You don’t play as a legendary hero; you are a RepEnt (Replicated Entity) controller, an average citizen looking to make a living. From the safety of a bunker, you remotely deploy and control close assets onto dangerous stations and planets across the solar system. You must infiltrate contested zones, complete specific contracts, scavenge for high-value resources, and successfully extract. While your physical body is safe, losing your clone and its gear is a massive financial blow.

– Hardcore Realism: Expect advanced weapon physics, a complex health and injury system, and deep weapon customization.

– Technological Warfare: You’ll use cutting-edge gadgets, ground assets, and even vehicles to navigate large-scale maps.

– Extraction Mechanics: Like other games in the genre, the tension comes from the “all or nothing” nature of each raid. If you don’t reach the extraction point, you lose your loot and your investment.
