Another cool element would be to add a mechanic where when a player dies the game randomly chooses who comes back as a "Michael Myers fanatic" in which they can set up traps that maim and slow down survivors so Michael can catch them. I know thats not very canon to the films but would add another cool layer to the gameplay loop and it would be random so nobody would know until it happens.

I'm 47 years old. I've seen this movie my whole life, and I must confess that when the Halloween music started playing during iconic parts of the game trailer, I struggled to hold back tears. Ladies and gentlemen, art knows no bounds. INCREDIBLE work. "Shut up and take my money right now!"

So. First objective is save the civilians to prevent Michael aura farming? Then Second objective is Survivor players have to find the way out? And if someone died, they become a cop and play as second phase???
So I'm worry about the first objective. Players will skip it like speed run game and just find a way out.

I'm worried about bullying the most, survivors should never feel they have more power than Michael or can make Michael afraid otherwise the intense horror vibe is ruin. the arresting thing feels like Michael got beaten and mocked at the same time imagine they t-bagging while Michael got knocked out before getting arrested😱
I'm thinking the survivors will have believability stats that affect the AI NPCs, like the girl nextdoor will probably have a higher chance of convincing the neighbors to escape over the "bad boy" of the group.
Will this be cross-play?
does myers also get perks or only the survivors

im not big on assymetrical horror games, never got to play much of friday the 13th before it shut down, but being a halloweeen fan and the fact it has a single player mode has me interested

This is the best gameplay trailer I have ever seen
This feels the most like Friday the 13th, I really miss that game.
My friend, who was a mega-fan for all things horror, loved Halloween. And he loved Friday the 13th. He got me to play Friday the 13th: The Game back in 2017 with him and we ended up playing it almost non-stop with our other friends for around two years, even after they were forced to end content support for it. Sadly, he died from illness in 2024, the same year that the servers for that game were shut down.
This feels like an evolution of everything Friday the 13th: The Game was supposed to be, and it reminds me of how much fun (and anger 😂) we all experienced playing it. I for one cannot wait to play it, and I will play it for him.
The cheaters gonna ruin it for everyone. When that doesn't work they'll try teaming with Michael. I can't wait to watch a streamer play as Michael and see all of their "loyal viewers" t bagging in front of them and allowing Michael an easy kill/win. Which is stupid because it's a double standard that would get you banned as a regular player.
I loved how myers always was against the whole neighborhood, not just the few who are hunting him, so glad they made that into the gameplay loop for this game
The game looks great. However, its peculiar that that haven't paid attention to the authentic Michael look from pt 1 which the game is based on. They meticulously created identical Jason's in Friday the 13th from each film from the look to the walk. How did they do that for 9 fantastic versions of Jason but couldn't nail ONE here. If they want to release Pt 2 and future iterations one of the primary determining factors will be the authentic look of each version of Michael from the mask to the actors/stunt-man's walk and movement who played them. The design team needs to focus on the Nick Castle walk and 75k Kirk Don post mask. The current version looks like a combo of George Wilburs walk from pt 4 and a generic mix of the Pt 1 and pt 6 mask. All they have to do is reach out to the collector community for help with the mask. They should reach out to Nicolas Art Gallery (NAG) and work with Niko to digitally scan his masks. Particularly the"75K Castle" and or the new "DP 75k". If your going for authenticity get it right! You've done it in the past you can do it here.
