The Forbidden Reach has been added in Patch 10.0.7, and how to complete Trial of Storms in WoW: Dragonflight is something that you might be wondering about. This is an event that can be done only once per week to receive loot, and it’s also not active continuously.
How to Complete Trial of Storms in WoW: Dragonflight
Before you can take on the Trial of Storms in WoW: Dragonflight, you need to complete the quest “Hidden Legacies” which will take you to the Forbidden Reach.
The hardest part of Trial of Storms is probably waiting. You can’t do anything to force the event to start, so you have to simply wait until a Storm-Bound Chest appears around the coordinates 48, 73. The event spawns every few hours, which can make it a bit tricky to complete.
The goal of the Trial of Storms is to open the Storm-Bound Chest, and the event is divided into four stages.
Trial of Storms Step One
This step is a countdown timer for one minute that allows you to reach the location before the event actually starts.
Trial of Storms Step Two
You need to charge the four Lightning Rods with 25 stacks of Elemental Charge each.
Defeating the elementals that spawn during this stage will give you the needed stack of Elemental Charge. When you have a stack of Elemental Charge, an extra ability called “Expel” will pop up on your screen. Use this ability to transfer your charge to one of the Lightning Rods. You can carry multiple charges at once.

Trial of Storms Step Three
Now, the main threat, the Charged Drake, appears. The Charged Drake acts as the boss of the Trial of Storms, and it’s your last obstacle to obtaining the loot within that chest.

Trial of Storms Step Four
At this stage the Trial of Storms is mostly complete, but you need to loot the Storm-Bound Chest and reap the rewards of your efforts. You’ll receive a combination of rewards from the following options: Loot Token, Elemental Overflow, a Condensed Magic Stone, and a Zskera Vault Key.

Much like the rest of the events on the Forbidden Reach, the Trial of Storms is a way for you to catch up on item level through getting Loot Tokens, which are Account Bound so you can send them to your alts.
