30 years later, Lara Croft’s very first adventure is getting a full cinematic remake with Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. Naturally, one of the biggest challenges facing the developers is revamping that iconic T-Rex battle, and so we spoke to Raul Siqueira, Game Director at Crystal Dynamics, and Arek Tomaszewski, Art Director at Flying Wild Hog, to find out how they brought one of the original PlayStation’s greatest scenes into the modern day. Plus, more on Lara’s new RPG-style suite of skills and her refreshed combat abilities.

Man Lara craft never looked so good. Lara Croft series were great. The trilogy was amazing and still holds up well today

Pole swinging animations could use more refinement, they're not as smooth as in the Legend trilogy.

Omg I am hyped! But still so far away
that how i got my ex into it. when one of us died the other had a go. he liked car games, but he got good at Tomb raider to. i love dTR it was the game that got me into PS. and so glad this is coming on disc i preordered as soon as it was available. i hope catalyst is on disc. i still have the o.g raider games i can play on my PS3 as well as remastered for PS5 games.

1:34 that's actually a good question and observation. They won't admit it but they clearly adapted Uncharted 4's traversal and platforming in LoA, animations are just the same.
I wish the climbing was an actual mechanic and not just pushing forward. Otherwise looks great

Seems like it will be Anniversary all over again, better puzzles and combat, worse level design, atmosphere and platforming than the original. I'm not someone stuck on nostalgia, I think this could be much better than the original and not only that, be a better version of the particular experience that the original went for. It won't be but being different is not per se bad, I can't help but think it's a missed opportunity. Anyways I never thought a game nowadays would allow players to be lost and die, but seeing Lara be pulled in the air as if she's flying because the game won't allow players to miss jumps is a disappointment.
Cant watch im at work…can somebody tell me if you actually get to fight the trex? Not in a cutscene, not a qte. Actual pistol V dinosaur like original?
