Microsoft Flight Simulator Boeing-Stearman Model 75 Released

Today third-party developers shared a few releases and reveals about Microsoft Flight Simulator add-ons, including aircraft and scevery.

We start with the release of the Boeing-Stearman Model 75 by Golden Age Simulations, a developer well-known for creating (as the name implies) vintage aircraft with a long history on older sims. 

It’s available on Simmarket and Just Flight for $27.73 including the following features.

Fully native MSFS aircraft

  • All models have been coded with Microsoft Flight Simulator native ‘Model Behaviors’ animations and built to MSFS SDK specifications to prevent issues with future simulator upgrades.
  • Fully compliant with MSFS native materials, and high definition PBR textures.
  • Modern’ aerodynamics system
  • Custom recorded, high-definition legacy sound file of the Continental R-670 produced by Immersive Audio
  • Optional crew configuration, with modern GA Asobo occupants or Custom Animated GAS Vintage Pilot and Passenger
  • Supports Virtual Reality headsets
  • Custom installer with instructions

Cockpit

  • Truly 3D virtual cockpits featuring accurately modelled controls and detailed texturing using full PBR materials
  • Electronic Flight Bag “EFB” controlling aircraft systems and security features
  • Fully operational front and rear cockpit positions.
  • “Civilian” and “Military” cockpit configuration.  Civilian featuring custom smoke effects

  • PT-17 N2S-3 with 6 liveries
  • PT-13 N2S-5, and 2 liveries
  • A75L300 fitted with the Lycoming R-680-13 and a Hamilton Standard 2B20 constant speed prop, and 2 liveries

Manual and paint kit

  • A full operations manual is included, along with a comprehensive paint kit

The next release comes from Rafael Tango Tango and it’s Aracaju–Santa Maria International Airport (SBAR) in Brazil.

It’s available on Simmarket for $6.60 with the following features.

  • Fully functional Taxiways, Parking Spots and Runway
  • Jetways
  • 3D Modeled Terminal and Hangars
  • Accurate Apron, Taxiway and Runway markings
  • Custom windsock
  • 3D modeled service buildings such as fire fighting, fuel station, etc

We then get to see two images from iniBuilds, which is creating a landmark package for its upcoming Abu Dhabi International Airport (OMAA) in the United Arab Emirates in 2024. Specifically, we get to see the Yas Marina Circuit.

Yes. This is still Microsoft Flight Simulator, not Forza Motorsport.

Lastly, MM Simulations revealed that it’s working on Münster Osnabrück Airport (EDDG) in Germany, also showing a few renders.
