Hideo Kojima presented a new OD gameplay trailer at his “Beyond the Strand” conference, held today in Tokyo for Kojima Productions’ 10th anniversary and as a pre-Tokyo Game Show 2025 event. The conference offered an overview of Kojima Productions’ current projects. The main highlights were a new look at OD, developed in Unreal Engine 5, and the first visual glimpse of Physint.
Kojima showed the first concept art for his upcoming spy action game Physint, a new PlayStation exclusive spy game that will remind you of Metal Gear Solid. The visual art depicts the protagonist without revealing his face, accompanied by the slogan “Here comes the feeling”. The first cast members have also been confirmed: Charlee Fraser, Don Lee (Ma Dong-seok) and Minami Hamabe. Kojima reiterated that the game’s development is in its very early stages.
In addition to the games, a new animation project called Death Stranding: Mosquito was announced, and new themed merchandise was presented, including credit cards and sake.

A new teaser trailer for OD, titled “Knock,” was shown. The footage begins with an ominous red door and a red card being used to try and unlock it, creating an atmosphere of terror and mystery. The game seems to be a spiritual successor of PT. Kojima reaffirmed that OD is a horror project developed in collaboration with Xbox Game Studios, reinforcing his relationship with Microsoft on this title. Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, appeared at the event and described the game as “bold, unique, and unmistakably from this studio”.
The trailer and images shown confirm that the game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 with a heavy photorealistic look. While gameplay details remain scarce, the trailer and the narrative behind the project suggest it will maintain Kojima’s distinctive stamp: an experimental experience that merges psychological horror with technological immersion, exploring the concept of “playing with fear”.

kojima working with jordan peele and stacking sophia lillis and hunter schafer in the cast.. this is exactly why kojima will remain one of the most iconic video game dev/writer of all time. i’m not in love with a lot of his games personally, but can definitely appreciate the art
The graphics are so good, I thought it was really Hideo Kojima with a microphone next to 2 other people!!! The main giveaway was the unrealistic movements of the character in the center and the uncanny face of the female. Still amazing!
