Sailing the Caribbean is half about plunder and half about style, and few cosmetics hit harder than the Pirate Captain Outfit in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. It features a dark leather coat and bold crimson sash, which gives Edward Kenway a formidable, high-seas look that’s unmatched by other outfits in the game. The best part is that players can get it as early as they want, as long as they know where to look.
Pirate Captain Outfit Location in AC Black Flag Resynced
Step 1: Get the Treasure Map from Corozal
To get the Pirate Captain outfit in AC Black Flag Resynced, players must first retrieve the Ambergris Key Treasure Map from the island of Corozal (9, 240). The island is located in the Chinchorro region, directly south of Tulum, which players visit during the “Nothing is True…” main quest in Sequence 4.
Once you reach Corozal, you can retrieve the treasure map from the northeastern edge of the island (I’ve marked the location above). To view the map’s location on your map, remember to synchronize at the Corozal island’s viewpoint.
The treasure map you get from Corozal is called the “Ambergris Key” Treasure Map, which points to the coordinates 30, 157. This will point to the treasure chest that contains the Pirate Captain outfit in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.
Step 2: Dig Up the Chest on Ambergris Key Cave
Fortunately for players, the Ambergris Key island (28, 159) is located directly south of Corozal in the same region. So you can simply get back on Jackdaw and sail to the island without needing to fast travel to a nearby landmark.
Once you reach Ambergris Island, there won’t be a dock or any landmass, so finding the entrance to the cavern can be a bit tricky. To enter Ambergris Key, you’ll need to dock Jackdaw near the POI, and dive into the water near the ship’s sail poking out of the water (I’ve highlighted the area in the image above).
Keep swimming down until you enter an underwater passage infested with jellyfish. Keep swimming in the underwater cave while avoiding contact with the Jellyfish to avoid getting stung.
You’ll eventually exit the underwater passageway and step into the Ambergris Key cave in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. Walk up the stone steps in front of you and turn left to see a small cavern (where some bats will fly out). Walk inside the area, and you’ll get an option to dig up a treasure chest.
After opening the treasure chest, you’ll receive 2400x Reales and the Pirate Captain Outfit in AC Black Flag Resynced. Now you can equip the outfit by heading into the inventory tab. Feel free to continue exploring the Ambergris Key cave to find some extra loot and a Smuggler’s Chest to loot.
