This map glow-up has been probably one of the biggest and most gamechanging map updates I have ever seen in a game. I mean it's truly mindblowing. If THIS is why B42 stable took so long, I understand. Absolutely incredible.
but they fix the new crafting sistem … right?

In real life Kentucky, Fort Knox is south east of Muldraugh and has a whole community around it. I really want to start a super base in Fort Knox and build a throne out of gold bars
On one hand im happy, this looks amazing. On the other, id rather have npcs. But still so happy for their effort

Tried playing today and my game just crashes 5 mins in to each attempt. Never had issues with it before :/

Good news we are both playing Project Zomboid. She has died 4 times in 10 minutes, and it wasn’t even to zombies yet.

I’ve clocked around 3 hours into b42 now. I like it, it feels much more like a real place. The number of added things are incredible, nice to have a new learning curve again.

I Love this update and already play this. BUT i was expecting much more things, such are roofs, more tipes of buildings (wooden walls, wooden fences, stone walls ect. meaning ,,skins" or brick/rock stove), some kind of preservation meat (dryed meat or smoked meat),
I am waiting soooo many years for bows, crosbows. They could finally add this kind of weapons, beacouse i every time end up in wildernes and hunting with bows/crossbows could be much more safer.
The game looks beautiful but the car lights don't work right at night. I also didn't ask for the update and lost an amazing CDDA run.
Looks like im going to be spending 3 hours seeing which mods are going to work.
Those new big trees really do a lot for making the world feel more realistic. It makes everything look a lot more lush!

I love PZ, and I appreciate all of the new updates…
but…
To be honest, I would trade all of the updates they made just to have build 41 with an actual endgame.
The new additions they made for b42 are great, but it's unfortunate that they didn't solve the game's main issue: no endgame.
Imagine b41 but with NPCs, raiders, factions, missions, goals! Imagine a proper storyline and quests. That's all I ever wanted from this game.
I want to do more than just horde supplies and survive. That's all that the game has ever been.
They even showed how
that's all the game is in the new trailer, "oh I made a base, but then I needed gas for my generator." Yeah, we know. That's all there is to do.
How different would the game be if the guy in the trailer was saying, "I needed gas, but I knew that the local raider faction was the only ones who had any gas. I could trade with them, steal from them, or try to take them out. Then I learned that the raiders had stumbled upon a secret laboratory in the woods, and they think there might be a cure for the virus."
Man. That would be a fun game.
Is anyone else having issues with the game crashing? I keep trying to start a new game but it crashes when the loading screen shows “this is how you died”. I have disabled all mods but it keeps crashing with no errors codes or messages. Half of the time it also crashes my steam page.

Build 41 was July 2019?! That's stupid… Holy crap. This game upgrades too slowly…………..
It's weird that, for all the complaints about the time it takes to do stuff, it seems to me that if you bought the game on…build 10, you've gotten years of updates without paying another dime. Is that right?
Its such an amazing update. It feels so alive and really is like 10 levels more fun
It looks great. I know im nitpicking this, BUT these are 90s small townville. I hope some towns are boring and cheap feeling. The boring rooftops and shops are kind of the aesthetic of premillennial americana imo. Once again they are talented artists

Ive already tried the new Stable branch and ive got to say that its absolutely great, everything is so beautiful. Im pretty new to PZ I bought it beginning of this year and even though I havent poured a lot of time into all there was to see in earlier patches, I still have to say, that im so excited to see everything that changed and everything new.
IT IS FINALLY HERE! Just waiting for the Hotfixes to drop and then explore the reworked Rosewood and Riverside. Will say, the new Muldraugh Police Station is such an Upgrade and i love it along with the new Doctor's Office in the South East end Muldragh and the new School is also great which i feel reflects the higher difficulty area that is Muldraugh
PZ Devs are some of the best in the industry. Instead of making a new game often they've just incrementally made theirs better and better over time.

I would pay good money for someone to take this amazing map and mod it with B41 gameplay. B41, just with the new map.
I miss the free open world instead of trying to be forced into the multiplayer, crafting table, gameplay. Trying to force everyone into combat runs isn't going to increase players. I love the map. I don't play B42 because the game isn't fun anymore.
Oh yeah can't wait to get back to PZ with glow-up West Point.
Fallas Lake and Rosewood can be quite interesting as well.
