This gamescom 2026 Extended Gameplay Demo offers a deeper look at the game’s 3v1 asymmetrical horror experience. Three players take the role of the Accused and must work together to navigate procedurally generated environments and survive deadly challenges, while a fourth player becomes the Judge, using hidden routes, environmental traps, ambushes, and brutal Retribution Traps to isolate and punish their victims.
SAW: Genesis is a multiplayer horror game developed by Broken Mirror Games and Anshar Studios and published by Bloober Team NA. Set a century before Jigsaw, the game expands the SAW universe with a new conflict centered around the Judge and the Accused, where teamwork can mean survival and the mastermind behind each trial must rely on planning rather than brute force. SAW: Genesis is currently planned to enter Early Access in 2026, with its final release date still to be announced.

As many before me, Im more confused after watching an extended gameplay than before. Well I guess we know now that the "Judge" knows how to use his elevator to save his own ass😅

Feels like a dev made a very big promise and was held at gunpoint to release whatever scraps they had for gameplay.
It doesnt feel like saw, the idea is shit, things dont even work, and its just outlast triald and dbd reskinned.
If its that easy to get funding.. give me the method
The door opening and closing that fast is horrible but I get the reasoning.
Secondly I can see this turning into a DBD trash. DBD is a TERRIBLE game and not worth the toilet paper you wipe with. It’s bad and I can see this being the new DBD but Halloween is out soon so I guess it’s not so bad.

This gameplay showcase is a LOT better than the one for survivor. The killer has SOME idea what they are doing.

From what I could tell, the map layout is broken into sections. Each section there is an objective for the accused to complete, once they complete the objective, they will get access to the challenge room. While in this room, the Judge can not attack them. The judge should be going to the next section and setup traps in preparation to the arrival of the accused. When the accused finishes the challenge room, they will have to complete another objective to get access to the next challenge room. After they complete the second challenge room, they will probably have to make their way to the escape. Each accused has a pink bar above their health bar. This seems to increase when near the Judge. This pink bar is probably the pressure or stress mechanic and will make objectives more difficult for the accused. The Judge's objective is to slow down the accused, capture them and have them answer for their crimes.
This one looks like a mobile game
I would honestly rather watch people play this than play it myself it seems tol fast paced, i dont understand whats going on at all. Looks kinda boring to me but whoever does play it good luck
This feels unclear and confusing. I know that still in alpha but man… it was really that hard to rerelease the first game of saw from the xbox360 with better quality and fixing the majority of technical issues. Or just make a new singleplayer SAW feel game.
