Dude, I play Diablo 4 not stop, but you are right, the game is lacking in content, in loot, in rewards, in classes, in build varieties, and it is overpriced. Even so, I only play Diablo IV and it has been improving, but it is a bummer that I paid 150 bucks, lots of taxes in my country to get this game, and it is a beta. The expansion is also gonna cost me a lot more money, even more than before, because they added more taxes to credit card purchases here… So it is annoying.
I hereby swear to you guys that I'm not going to buy d4 dlc and I'm not going to play with the game until they don't fix everything and add real end game contens. Im going to follow the d4's development or death here on yt. Huh, it was easy…

Every time I’ve said any criticism for diablo 4 these die hard fans keeps saying stuff like oh it’s still a new game stop stop acting like it should have the content or replay ability of a ten year year old game. As if blizzard didn’t have the means or the time to make this a good game. They had the time but they chose to waste that time on immortal to steel people money instead.
Idk man, i hear a lot of people including yourself saying they don't expect or want d4 to be like PoE but then your described problems with the game say quite the opposite. I have no problem with anyone having their preferences, even if i don't understand them, but it just comes off as a bit disingenuous, y'know?

RE: content; your criticisms are subjective; there's a whole group of people that love grinding out gear in Diablo 2 and it makes me want to tear my eyes out. There's people out there that are perfectly fine with NMDs and open world killing. RE: pricing, in WoW and other MMOs I've been paying for initial game, subscription and then expansions on top of it; Diablo 4 isn't out of line there. Buying the expansion will depend on whether it offers a class I want to play; Grim Dawn is my favorite game because of the plethora of builds I can explore as well as the Mod community bringing extra content (such as RoT).
I was a big gamer back in my teenage years and haven't been playing anything for the passed 15 years or so (just life happened). Couple of months ago with bunch of friends, decided to play Diablo 4 for the good old time of Diablo 2. The pure disappointment… After 3 weeks we were like: WTF, we could have spent that money to go to a bar and we would have been happier…
Anyway… while discussing it and reading a bit about the development process – how long, how many people, money etc. we reached to the conclusion that some greedy CFO decided: OK, we made an amazing game, now let's release it in 5 extensions each for 100$ and capitalise… (a theory that you also mentioned in that video). If that's not the case than BLIZZARD is doomed if this is their best …

Wanted to share this here cause find it pretty funny.. once posted one of your Videos on Main Diablo 4 discord and wanted to discuss about it suddenly the Admin of the Discord appeared into the chat and start deleting my comments…was 7-8 months on that discord ended up to be permanent banned.
Played Diablo 2 since release and also D2 Ressurected cause of Nostalgia mostly.
Diablo 4 has nothing to offer vs those legendary games back then..
This Company focus on cosmetics and mostly on milking..On general played Wow Vanilla classic too since release same story…(no changes they just bring HC,SOD+)=same game 12 euro per month.(20 years old game)
This Company exists today cause of the reputation others created before 20 years…
They cant make rpg games anymore their only focus is how to Milk players.. i refuse to give 1 single Euro to this Company not worth it at all!
My main problem with D4 is that it feels like they hadnt been inspired enough from the 10+ years since D3 was released. I get the feeling that the game was made by committe and became a master of none, a very complacent commite. I find the endgame very lacking, but I actually didnt expect anything else on launch. No major game release with ”game as a service” will be ready for people to nolife it on release. What irritates me the most is that I told my brother that I wouldnt buy it until a year after release because games like this takes time… but I got roped in and bought it on release.
Farming views and generating content based on a survey is just dumb + you are creating misinformation in a community that's already an echo chamber for people to hate the game they supposedly love. Anyone able to read knows that in the real world there is no way in hell the base game (expansion) is gonna cost 100$ maybe like a collector's edition physical box yeah sure, even that's steep since for D4 collector's box was like 100€. So just to generate buzz around literally a non-issue is just cheap and dumb
I agree with everything stated in the video. I refuse to spend another dime on D4 until there have been some major changes. Pretty much looking to jump ship as soon as PoE2 beta releases. That's where I'll spend my next buck.

While i enjoy the simplicity of D4 I want so much more from it. I am dumbfounded by the lack of content in D4. There are basic things like crafting and armor sets. People's loved sets. They were fun and something to hunt for. That should have been there day one and D4 needs to be criticized for it.

D1 and D2 were released when Blizzard was a name that stood for quality and love for the craft. Today Blizzard is a company known for being greedy, rushing development, launching unfinished titles and horrible work-culture. And when you have a gaming company that is led by suits who worked for companies like P&G and J.P. Morgan, you should know that it's not about making great games for them anymore. It's about making money.
And this might be unfair to all the developers still working there but when money is priority No.1 for a business, even the most passionate designers and developers can't make a great game.
Like you said POE is Grinding Gear Games' first and, so far, only game. They were an independent studio with the goal of releasing a great ARPG because they were unhappy with what the market had to offer. Just like Blizzard was back in the day. But Blizzard is not the same company anymore. Almost everyone that made Blizzard great is gone.

D2 is the holy grail of ARPG's as is stated or alluded to by basically the entire community, yet basically every point in both videos don't exist in D2. D2 now is also nothing like D2 at launch. I swear most people don't remember D2 at launch. It was, ok, but not the legend that D2 is now. It has no end game content in it at all. The game tells a story and offers a difficulty ramp to replay the story with. That's it. The game has no other reason to play it. It doesn't hand out extrinsic reasons to keep grinding at it. All the epic amazingness of D2 is entirely intrinsic to the player.
If we look at D4, that is the core of the game. You play through the story, and when you finish it, that's it you're done. Everything else after that is just extra bloat ARPG's have been adding on to keep people spending money on them. Basically, every ARPG after D2 has that extra bloat. That's all it is. Bloat for the purpose of making money off player base. What doesn't have that? The holy grail of D2. So obviously, none of that bloat is what makes a great ARPG. So why is everyone hyping up that bloat? Why isn't there more of a push to just tell a good story and just let us run with it like the holy grail of ARPG's did?
These rants sound more like a PoE fan boy whining about how other ARPG's aren't free and needing their next content fix. Y'all sound like addicts and are just bummed D4 didn't give you the same hit you've gotten in the past from other things to the point where it isn't about just sitting down and enjoying a story and having a little fun and just moving on when you're done. A game doesn't need to keep you entertained for eternity to be a good game, or to be worth buying.
You want to talk about good reasons to not buy D4? You should have been spending all this time refusing to even think of buying it until Kotick is out of the company, yay that's happened now, to punish the corrupt culture that put gaming into the sorry state that your real complaint is about. Why anyone buys a game on release anymore is beyond me.
The thing is, I know the answer. It's a simple answer really. This is your job, and riding the hype train is where you get the views and the interaction that fuel your bottom line. Which raises the question, are you really any better than Kotick?
