We finally got hands on time with State of Decay 3 at gamescom 2026 to try out the combat, what team work looks like, exploration and more. We played the Alpha version of the game, so gameplay is subject to change.

The first one is always my favorite. The second one just didn’t hit the same. I think what I like about the first one the storyline

it very much feels like the gun is pointed to the wrong place and not at the crosshair. and the menus/HUD is oonce again absolutely horrible. I still would rather have the first version hud

i love love love state of decay, but this show case did nothing for the game, they did bad in puting this out there, coulda waited a bit, im hoping thet clean ts tf up cuz man i been waiting
they've got a long way to go before the game is anywhere close to being more than just an expansion for SOD2
since i cant play it imma wait for brad to play it
looks like another copy and paste game with better graphics, what i just want is more realism zombie apocalypse world and state of decay is the most closest thing to this and sadly with 100 hours of gameplay from previous games its quirky mechanics has bored me out and i would be nice to have something new that feels like the TWD world
I’m still hoping for a mode or settings that take away the mini map and all other hud graphics. Except for when you need to search your inventory and aim. I like having less on the screen to add to the realism.
Is this a Alpha Version ? Is the Release Date in 2027 still aktuell ??
Completely understand why Xbox had to drop this studio. They bought Undead Labs nearly 8 years ago… and in that time, they released one cinematic trailer that shows nothing to do with the actual game, 6 year ago…. and only now are they in a position to show off Alpha gameplay with still no official release date. Im excited to play this and I hope it's awesome but this timeline has been absolutely ridiculous
I loved SoD 1 and 2.
Something about this series is amazing.
However, based on this im really just not that interested in it.
It looks very similar to 1 and 2 with not a whole lot of new things or innovation imho.
Nothing in this excites me so far to want to play these games.
I hope im wrong as we get closer.
Hopefully there are more women and people of color represented in this game. It's a new era and the patriarchy isn't welcome
