Thank you all for watching! I would like to clear a few things up. Gun Interactive is not developing this game, I brought up their past just to simply show their shaky track record with games. They are co-publishing this game with some financial assistance. That being said I should have dug deeper than I did because Gun actually has less power with this title than they did with past games, they are more of a helping hand. Illfonic has way more skin in the game with this project and it won’t technically die if Gun walks away. I do apologize for not doing more deeper research on that part. Does that change how you feel about this game? Or is Illfonics past enough to keep you away?

Well while I might not have a huge amount of hope for the multiplayer lasting for all the reasons you listed as well…the fact that this is releasing with single player that actually seems just as focused is making me really excited as a lifelong halloween fan

Ok I understand that illfonic and Guns doesn't have a great track record of games but I'm tired and annoyed by all of these whiny crybabies who are saying this game will fail. Like if you're not into the game or not interested in It I get it not everyone is gonna be into the game. But stop spreading negativity and bad things about a game that's not even released yet just cuz you might not like it. That's gonna make it die out cuz everyone is gonna think and believe it will which will cause people to not want to play it. As a hero survivor your goal isn't just to survive Michael it's to also get help and warn NPC's of Michael's return and help your town escape him. Plus Halloween is also getting a story mode. So Halloween does have different things going for it not just the same as Friday the 13th where you just escape the killer. I'm not saying this game won't fail it very much could. But stop putting that negative thoughts about it before it's even released cuz maybe for once it actually is really good. If you're not into the game then just say "Oh yeah for me it doesn't look that interesting or I'm not into this" that's completely understandable then cuz not everyone likes certain games. But ENOUGH of saying this game will fail or it looks bad or boring like IT AIN'T F*KING OUT YET!! Once it's been out for a few months and maybe you're still not into it then you can say to you it's boring or I'm not interested but stop saying it before you've even played it cuz again that's what's gonna cause it to die since people won't want to play it cuz they think it will die in a month you'll make it die out for thinking that. The Problem with TCM wasn't the replaying was repetitive. It was the lack of maps, characters, and overamount of Killers Deseeding or couldn't be skilled enough to play with anyone who wasn't level 10. Oh and of course the horrendous amount of hackers that will also be in Halloween.
Just give me an offline mode on TCM and I’d be plenty happy. Give the option to change the difficulty or family or survivors and you’ve got tons of replay value.

The Doors were also a big problem in TCM if it’s anything similar to that this game will fail.
Illfonic has confirmed they are the primary publisher on Halloween the game, so they have full control. GUN Media was the publisher on Friday the 13th the Game, Illfonic was only the developer in the early days of the games life. GUN Media showed they're true colors with the F13 game alone. Dump and run mentality as soon as there is another money bag somewhere else. The F13 legal battle was settled before the game was pulled, they still could have kept it going if pursued, but it just wasn't as profitable as moving onto Texas Chainsaw. TCM the game fans got to see the same thing happen. Yes Illfonic has had games fizzle out, but they have a much better track record of long term support. I was very skeptical of Halloween the game when I heard about GUN Media involvement, but my concerns were eased when I heard they were only brought on for support (marketing and investment), they don't have decision making power on the project, Illfonic does. So there is a good chance this game will stick around a while if proven to be as fun as F13 was. I would definitely stay away from any game that GUN Media is heading up though.

which brings me to Illfonic… They took my favorite IP (Killer Klowns) and massacred it. I as well as others had valid questions– ignored everytime… and its beyond that when they make stupid calls and updates to the game breaking it and whenever there is a live stream with "Questions and Answers" it's just Albert, Miles and Joe goofing off"… ans then the bull crap they pulled with "Exclusive content only" for the physical edition with superseded the content the digital gamers (some in which asked about physical copies and their responses where legit 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️…. and even for that one year anniversary- we are PAST Two years and yet anytime I log into that menu its only going doe the one year Anniversary…it's a joke.
But yeah… I don't know what to exactly expect of Halloween because that's another IP I truly love and if they fail this IP I will not know how they will recover or what game they could do next to where every fan is up in arms and says enough is enough

Friday the 13th the game was popular, had content planned and was killed from the licence issues. they they hadnt had that licence trouble i think that game would still be running now.
The sandbox nature is what is going to pull so many people in – most other games try and copy or do variations of DBD and it clearly shows and becomes stale and people stop having fun, TBH I dont think DBD is fun but it has a lot of content, its just turned into #TunnelByDaylight which is why so many survivors are watching this and praying for a decent alternative.
IF this game launches well, has a good roadmap and monetization options with cosmetics etc then I do think it will be around for a long time, they can even add DLC with new single player campaign like for 2018 Myers which is very visible in their physical collectors editions in the "more to come" boxes
Friday the 13th, Predator Hunting Grounds, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Halloween would be better as a story driven game. You chose the player/story, survivor or killer not thia online multi-player crap repeated stages. Dang for once get it right make a single offline story driven game, this will be another failure and wont last like the others.
I'm buying this game strictly for the single player story mode. I feel like if more of these horror movie inspired games had a single player story mode, they might survive longer. Killer Klowns, Texas Chainsaw, Friday the 13th, all would’ve been great if they had that option.
