QUESTION: I have been playing the original for tge past few months in preparation of the remake and I‘m in the middle of the fire temple right now but now that the remake is getting seriously close I am maybe considering maybe stopping ricght there because I‘m scared I might ruin my hype for playing the same game again in just a few days after I approximately finish the original what do you think?

I've been replaying Skyward Sword HD in the run up to this game, and I just wanna say that game really makes me appreciate how easy it is to get the Hylian Shield in this game! They make you wait forever for it in Skyward Sword…
I just noticed that the chests still have a lid shaped like a half decagonal prism, even though the designers absolutely could have made them much more round.
It's like the sucked all the personality out of Oot and injected it with unreal engine bullsht'.

i love how the field makes the world look more real, less a video game sandbox with the limitations of the old engine. also i like navi making casual commentary on things through text she didn't before. one thought i thought when played the OG was i wished navi and link talked more, they are on an adventure together and their only dialogue is navi telling link how to kill enemies or nagging him to go back to the main quest. now she actually has thoughts about things and events she didn't before and says them. i used to invent their dialogue in my head as a child
