Very cool!
What I find interesting here:
Machina Blue: Looks like a "classic take" on mech anime, but in the videogame medium.
Good blend of old-timey and modern aesthetic values, looks like a reconstruction from Real Robots (scale, more realistic setting) back to SuperRobots (heroic battle against aliens). Contender for best narrative.
Battle of Bots: Seems bland and stiff, but strong gameplay potential. Could be solid precisely on account of being bland and stiff.
Cats in the Shell: Kinda bland and silly, but also appealing and funny nonetheless. Contender for best visual "production value".
DroneTanks: Risk Of Rain 2 on a tank sounds good.
Exodus: Nothing to add here. Octopus in a mech sounds good. Contender for best visual "production value". Worth of consideration, BUT, it could also be cringe. Contender for best narrative.
TankRat: Survival crafter on an autotank sounds good. Contender for best visual "production value". Roboland setting sounds interesting. Contender for best narrative.
SteelCore: Front Mission AND X-COM ? Please, give me twelve. However, the enemies look boring. Huge chances I'll play it… eventually.
Regretful Mentions: The top-down shooter and the deckbuilder. It's a pity these would be games I likely wouldn't be able to appreciate, I don't think there's any singular showstopper defects, it's just that – in my opinion – their genres and themes don't go well with each other. I don't think that top-down-shooters or deckbuilders play well with mech theme, they don't give me much of those exciting feelings of "I'm handling a mech" or "I'm simulating mechs".
Tank Rat looks neat. The tank itself reminds me of Master Blaster from back in the day.
I kinda just want to see more "heavy" style of mech games akin to the very first Armored Core, I feel like a lot, LOT of mech games just feel like your machine is so… light.. likely because of, ironically, the popularity of the latest Armored Core.
Drone Tanks is extremely interesting. I'm getting Tiny Tank vibes, and that's a complement.
Tank Rat used to be called Tank Head (which was a copywrited name and there was a leagle battle, as far as i remember it´s been a wile) and came out on Epic what feels like years ago.
Machina Blue and TankRat got my attention. Adding them to the wishlist ASAP.
Machina blue just topped my waiting for list.
“Machina Blue” looks like it has serious “Evangelion” influences plus it will have RPG mechanics? Take my money now!!!
Machina Blue feels like a love letter to Evangelion in the best possible way.
The premise of Machina Blue made me remember to add Dai Guard to my watchlist.
A shame that we still don't have a proper spiritual succesor to Robot Alchemic Drive
I'm getting a little itchy working on my own projects, can't wait to share, good view as always Mecha!
Mechs? Andthis is what you show? hahah what a trash bag
great video! Machina Blue looked really interesting, some neat evangelion vibes there
I am unreasonably excited for TankRat. That recent trailer was amazing.
