We’re over halfway through 2026 already, which means it’s time to check in on all of Sony’s PlayStation Studios to see what they’re making and what PS5 games are coming in 2026 and beyond. While the PS5 has received many great third-party releases so far this year, such as Resident Evil Requiem, 007 First Light, and Crimson Desert, only one first-party game has made its way into our hands: Housemarque’s latest shooter, Saros. It’s hard to ignore the biggest PlayStation news of the year so far, though: the decision to end the production of discs from January 2028, which leaves a big question mark over whether we’ll ever get physical editions of some of the games we’re about to talk about here.
So, which PlayStation studios have games launching soon, or at the very least have secrets up their sleeves? Well, that’s exactly what we’re going to take a look at here. What are the developers behind PlayStation’s highly respected library up to now? And how long will it be before we get to both see and play their projects? Let’s dig into what each studio is doing, and when we can realistically expect to see new games from them.

I hope playstation ends up getting boycotted and their entire OS emulated❤
Need a new Cyberpunk game
It feels like they have been working on intergalactic forever. Big expectations from Naughty Dog on this
7:02 poor bungie😂😂
no disc no buy i want all games to be on a phisical disc , if ps6 has no disc i will not buy
I like to see a new Wipeout game voor de PlayStation 5 or 6
The amount of ads in this video is insane. Literally unwatchable
Ad every 1 minute? Seriously?!
This games will never be on disk😂
Im so excited for all the upcoming physical discs that will keep me a loyal playstation customer for many years to come
Naughty dog 13 14 years is crazy shit better be better than gta 123456
We need a game usa vs iran
How the hell did you manage to squeeze in 8 ads in the first 10 minutes, and all of them for capital one Bank. Literally idiots this lot at ign.
Let Sony burn like how I burn my GOG games to disc.
Come on with all the ads!!! 👎
No physical No buy
I don't get it. I am Slovenian. I watched the State of Play that revealed God of War: Laufey, and they didn't call it Laufy Why is it so hard to pronounce a name that you should have heard the pronunciation of if you are talking about it?
I’ve been with PlayStation since the PS1. Every game I own is a physical copy because I believe in owning what I pay for, not just renting a license. If the future of PlayStation is digital only, then PS5 will be my last PlayStation. No PS6 for me
Just how many ads did u guys add in here
Lol sony cant take a hint.
IM DONE WITH SONY
since Sony wanna do away with no disc in 2028 I’m not buyin PS6 no matter what
Standard Physical media is essentially the new investment guys ✌️😭
Can’t wait to not buy most of these games as I transition to Xbox. So tired of being fucked over by Sony.
a few years ago some ceo really fucked up investing in all those shitty live service projects 😭😭 such a shame
Naughty Dog have been the least productive studio of the PS5 generation.
Sony need to stick a poker up Druckmanns backside!
She looks like marjorie taylor greene in the thumbnail 😂😂😂
These studios are so out of touch.
More ads than video. I’m done with yall.
Will these be free t download later in the year with the ps5 jailbreak?
I remember when Naughty Dog dropped Uncharted 3 and the Last of Us within a 2 year window… hopefully we get something like that again!
Atsu‘s story was ASS. A huge letdown, the world was pretty but that‘s it. Ghost of Tsushima was better in every aspect.
This list is sad. This is what y’all are excited for..? Lol
So nothing new
no disc no love
Really wish I cared but I just don't anymore. My enthusiasm for all things Playstation has been gutted
Why do people spell disc as disk?
Blu-ray Disc is what is globally known as the spelling for this type of disc,
I can say when buying a floppy disk back in the 90’s then yes, disk, but in the new era of tech, isn’t it just disc?
Nothing about Sony is cool anymore
Bring back a looter shooter like anthem . 🙏🏽
