The Witcher 4 is officially happening, with development development underway at CD Projekt Red. While the official title for the project has yet to be confirmed, it’s currently going under the codename The Witcher: Polaris, and since its initial reveal in 2022, we’ve steadily been getting more updates on the its progress.
The Witcher 4 promises to be “better, bigger, and greater” than the Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, and it’s also been revealed that Polaris will be “adding new gameplay elements and new mechanics” to the new RPG, with CD Projekt Red emphasizing that it won’t be The Witcher 3 in new clothing.
Set to be the “first game” of a multi-game saga, the studio is bringing us new “AAA RPG trilogy”, with The Witcher 4 counted among a slate of exciting upcoming CD Projekt Red games that are currently planned or in the works.

I’m playing Kingdom Come Deliverance II and I’m amazed how brilliant is the game. I finished Witcher 3 on platinum and I didn’t like Ciri part on it. Mostly because of limited attacks and linear path. I hope this one will completely change everything and they will not announce the release date to avoid same mistake they done with Cyberpunk. I want to play finished product not unfinished game which will need another 5 years of updates and patches to be playable

There is absolutely no logical reason to replace him for Ciri, make a separate game but don't call this Witcher 4. There is no question that this motive was grounded years back per DEI pressure from loud but non-majority voices. When you change something that is not broken you're always risking a grave mistake and disenfranchising fans of the original character. It just never makes sense, nor results in more profits. Literally losing is winning (kung-pow) for studios turn DEI. Halo 5, Dragon Age Veilguard, AC: Shadows, list goes on ect.

hm.. there are truly a ton of positives and I admit Im absolutely looking forward to this game. but: I think it appears a bit too colourful to me? Im very much into "realism" (not as in "this is fantasy vs that isnt", but as in "this could exist in a world with these rules and that couldnt") and, for example, every peasant running around in the most expensive and super diverse clothing colours just seems odd. In the video at the end it looks much different and much more "realistic" tho 🙂
