Monster Hunter Wilds news is finally returning at Tokyo Game Show. Here is what we know about the upcoming gameplay demo.
We have been waiting for more details about Ascendance since Summer Game Fest in June 2026, and the silence has finally broken. Three brand new quests and fourteen upcoming weapon trailers are on the horizon. They aim to provide key insights into how the mechanics of the expansion will shape future gameplay for the series.

What are you most excited for in Ascendance? Personally, I can’t wait for elder dragon level threats (harder difficulty)
I think quest 2 will be Kushala.
First of all the flagship is gundoraja, the unknown monster of the demo is arakeeta

Hadn’t occurred to me until I thought about the previous demos we’ve had, but perhaps we’re looking forward to the expansion’s flagship. “Revived” may mean Somult, seeing as it hasn’t been seen and rarely referenced. Unless I’m misremembering, this would be the first time a flagship fight hasn’t been given out in a Monster Hunter Demo if it’s not.
Either way, I’m hyped! Very hopeful for the series.
