Wow… the no-tolerance stance? Acknowledging cheaters for what they are (gormless, virgin plebs)? I love it! But also… please please please try to support Linux.
Linux being "unfriendly" to current anti-cheat software is the price of allowing people to genuinely own the computer they purchase. There must be methods to innovate and overcome cheating while respecting users' privacy and ownership… and us Linux folks really, **REALLY** want to enjoy this game too!

now if they ban cheaters that would be great, US West servers are nearly unplayable due to blatant cheaters.
I am definetly going to interview cheaters, and make click-bait videos about cheaters in the game. This is a whole niche. If you decide to pay me the amount of money I would lose by not making those – I wont make them
Microslop is worse than ever, actively transforming Windows into an "agentic OS". Linux is the superior OS now, and that's unlikely to change anytime soon.
Imagine using UEVR while playing this, it would be so cool. VR goggles and then just mouse and keyboard.

I'm gaming on Linux, will it release natively? Especially after the recent controversies and difficulties surrounding Windows and Microsoft.
Only a select handful of games do not work (e.g. CoD, Tarkov)

As much as I wanna play this game, the anti cheathas me a bit worried. I've read that the anticheat has a chance to crash your PC with the blue screen of death. So idk if I will be playing this or not sadly

As a Ph.D holder in game development and moved into Cyber security for the past couple of years. Unreal is not amazing and the expected exploits was seen. There was a major denial of service from a hacking group (Wonder who that was.. lol) and the script-kiddies had alittle go.

Isn't Anti-Cheat a big part of why the game is tanked in reviews? Like the ol' Bait and Switch of Anti-Cheat software? That and server issues is what it looks like on Steam, anti-cheat being the meaningful criticism.

This game is exactly the kind of game I’ve been looking for for a long time.
I enjoy tac shooter mechanics, not really a fan of games with allat fuckass movement like Apex or COD or Battlefield.
Unfortunately I play on my Bazzite rig. The moment this game enables support for proton, it’s an instant buy. For now, I guess I’ll wait.
5x'ing the MW4 beta is stupid hilarious
Instead of having official partners it would be great to have dedicated servers that can really be modified. Like many games that have great experiences on dedicated servers like Arma, Gmod, Space Engineers etc. Having partners host it for you limits our ability to do our own cool stuff.
Sadly I won't be able to play as I use Linux instead of Microslop. Would definitely buy and play if I could.

Honestly dont usually play games these hardcore (generally play BF6, Helldivers etc) but this is absolutely next-level commitment to banning cheaters lol A triple AAA game studio woudl never do something like this. This is amazing, I'm going to buy this game for sure now

Do community servers allow for adjusting the anti-cheat in such a way that Linux players can play?
I want Linux support in EA please. If you catch a cheater ban all the hardare IDs associated with that player.
I'd push back heavily on requiring things like secure boot for people ASSOCIATED with cheaters. If I unknowingly queue with someone (perhaps even a random) that uses cheats, I could take a several month ban, sure, but permanently requiring os configs like secure boot? Gross. There are reasons why people choose to have that off and for many people with older systems, tpm and secureboot can be worked around to get windows to run.
I'm not sure. I could be naive here, but I'd rather take a ban than a permanent, meaningful alteration to my account.
I'm not gonna lie. I kind of wish they didn't say anything about any anti-cheat they have and just see what happened.
If anti-cheat was so big, why change the anticheat system last minute and bar the game for all Linux players?
Bring back the Titanfall shadowban method. You can still play the game, but with extremely increased queue times because you can only play with other convicted cheaters

Total BS…I refunded my game, never again will I spend money on a Early release. And you boosting youtubers overs paid customers is just garbage. This is why I will never buy anything from you again.
