Opening Night Live gave us an extended look at gameplay for Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons, a third-person, single-player action-adventure set in a dark fantasy open world inspired by D&D.
Players will become Kaatri, a warrior who makes a dangerous pact with Tasha to find someone she has lost. She’ll need to combine forbidden magic, spells, rituals, and otherworldly weapons to “”open paths, create advantages, uncover secrets, and defeat monsters creatively.”” Oh, and you’ll need to venture beyond the Mists of Darkon to do so.
Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2027.

Excellent.. Knowing Wizards of the Coast ideology, I now get to play a sword thirsty blue haired, one legged, left handed, limp wristed hermaphroditic lesbian warlock. I hope there is plenty of diversity and equity to be discovered.

I kinda like what I see here. This just might be a decent title for some casual DnD adventure.
Gameplay looks slow and inspired by dark souls. Magic looks boring. Combat seems like it's a mash up of slow motion sequences combined with "press button now to execute target".
What the hell WOTC, you have access to some of the most lore rich settings and you choose this to represent it?
Lets hope this won't be another Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance …
I don't see why it has Dungeons & Dragons in the title? If she fought according to Warlock class abilities, sure. But she is not doing that. This is more like Warlock: Forgotten Realms.

"I don't want to play as a woman," "I want to choose my patron." Bro, just shut up and enjoy a closed narrative, or wait to see more. I would prefer a Paladin, yes, but does this mean that I have to hate everything else? No.

Cool. Faerun 3rd person action RPG adventure. And if it does well, we can expect sequels: Paladin: Dungeons and Dragons. Barbarian: Dungeons and Dragons. Ranger. Wizard. Sorcerer. etc. etc.
