No matter how you slice it the gamers won. Anyone thinking Anita and the Studios closing ranks with her is bad. Have no long term vision. Long run it was good cause it accelerated the death of the AAA studio system under its own weight. And now independent companies are breaking into the industry in a big way with good games again.
The fact the Gaming press is making gamergate 2 happen means that the gamer won the first one.
There is no winner. They win when you forget. Permanently make sure to never buy any game they are involved with.
Gamers won. Its why they are trying to do it again.
If they won, there would be no need to do it again.

GG1 was not enough to claim victory for gamers, instead, the issue spilled all over, remember that a Brazilian brother had to connect some dots to get attention of first world countries, your take is right in the American optics but don't foe everyone else, even Japan and China make specific version of games to publish for you

GG1 was essentially lifting the veil, but the sjw mob closed ranks quick to prevent further exposure. The grift wasnt complete at that moment. GG2 is much different, as over the years people have started noticing this same mob ideology being injected into everything…movies, comics, games, books, corporations, politics. Its to tje point where people are no longer passively rejecting the message, we are now actively fighting it. Our numbers will only grow.
These people are locusts. The devoir everything in their path, leaving nothing but barren lands, devastation. The aolution is stop giving them money, and build new businesses around them.
I'm not sure what all happen with Gamergate 1, I hear it started with some Me Too women thing pointing out the corruption in gaming sexism thing, Given that Gamergate 2 is about pointing out the corruption of over compensating for racism and sexism of the perceived past. Gamers has to have lost Gamergate 1 for use to get to this point.
Everyone lost with Gamergate 1. But I would argue that the Anita Sarkezian and Co. won because game studios and media closed ranks around her. It led to a lot of the 'old guard' in game studios being forced out/ encouraged to leave. Games media lost their audience and is on decline ever since and many game studios lost as well, with the lack of success in many recent projects.

so i am only at the start, but im gonna be honest, i am on the side of gamers and we lost gamergate, progressive culture, corruption and rot within the journalist industry spread to the development industry. the proffessional victims narrative is the only one still findable , people who werent active part will never truly know what it was about. victors write the history books, and the history books are not written full of the corruption in games media
