Most support it!?!!? What a joke. 1 in 5 of mine did.
He mentions over 25 years, but this doesn't work on the first 2 generations of games, when digital wasn't even available and this would actually be useful for.
This is the most pointless feature ever. It doesn't work on the generations everyone has discs for, since by the Xbox One many people went digital already. Plus, I have 5 disc games on Xbox One and it only works on 1 of them and 3 it doesn't work on are Xbox exclusives. It is like their backwards compatibility where it is hyped up then only about 1 in 20 games from Xbox and 360 work if you put them in a One or Series X.
Give me
The reason to pick Xbox. Show a new disc and watch the success
This sounds a useless gimmick that is completely useless because it will only really work with Xbox One and Series games not Original and 360 Xbox games.
They will need to add both Original and 360 games to this for it to actually mean something.
From what’s been put out about the user will need to keep the disc in order for the user to have the license for the game to work and that it it be checked every so often.
It’s not really any different from when the user could install games for disc to console in the 360 days.
Do you have to have gamepass for this to work
So what prevents someone from renting a game, claiming ownership and having the digital forever? Does the disc need to be inserted every few months?
Very misleading.
What happens if you sell or lend the disc to a friend? Are you ever required to reinsert the disk at any point to prove you still own it? What happens when Microsoft decides you have violated their terms and decide to terminate your account?
Library shouldn't change 2:00 yet it will, no xbox or 360
25 years yet xbox and 360 not supported. Odd 2:00
console era is done.pcs now can emulate every fkn bs.
Take a shot every time he talks with his hands😭😴
Yeah, it's the 31st and that prompt is no where to be seen.
This guy should play Saruman in the Rings of Power
It's bald gandalf
Wish They Had This Ability Before, My Whole Games Library Got Stolen In A Home Robbery 🥲 All My Memories Gone .
That's Don King upside down
Give me a disc drive in your next Xbox and I will drop PlayStation after years of owning their consoles
Even if this new feature doesn't seem like much, Microsoft is questioning one of the most crucial issues in video games, namely the minimum technical level required to let us use and play our games 💿🎮
the way she says "physical media" sounds like they're taking a jab at playstation. Keep going
Ok, but what happens when some else decides to do same with the disc. Do I loose the digital key on my console if someone wants to redeem the digital key on their console?
This is ok and all, but if they remove disc drives on the next gen console I’m hopping over to PC, there is no reason for a closed console infrastructure to not have all the bells and whistles that always had. At least PC has the option to buy a disc drive.
Haha they're fooling you cheapskates so bad… this is to prepare for their next gen console which wont have a disc drive
This is Aris of Avoiding the puddle
This is something I've wanted for years. Ive never understood that if you own a game physically why you cant register that for a free copy of the digital version. If its pre-owned/leant then put a $15 price tag on it if they want the digital copy too. After 2-3 years on market remove the preowned fee.
So if you pass your physical copy of your game around with all your mates they can all claim a digital copy off the same disc?
no disc no helix. dont need more gimmicks.
Going all digital eventually
This is the start of xbox taking your old physical games. not only are they going to stop making disk, they're also going to make your old disks worthless
Hoping I can play my dvds, CDs and blu rays on the next Xbox
so once I redeem all my physical discs and my account gets banned or hacked what happens to my collection?
Xbox, just announce that you’ll provide everyone with free consoles and games next gen, and you’ll win right away. It’s not that hard
So like, do we own the digital content or are we converting a physical disk into a playable license that can be revoked at any time?
The wizard has spoken. Sad this even hits the way it's hitting us who actually care about physical ownership.
My man… Just shave the beard
What if you're a cheapskate like me with a Series S and you still have a bunch of original Xbox and 360 discs? Can I pop them in my PC and link them to my account via the Xbox app?
Think im going back to xbox if i dont get a pc. Sony stating "you dont own digital purchases" while ending physical seems borderline suicidal
Can I re-sell the said digital license ? Can I give it to a friend WITHOUT giving the physical media ?
If by any chance, she can't get anything to work correctly, let me know. And I'll ask, you know who to see could fix it for you in gears of war, it's funny, right? How the world turns that me any help I don't know if you'll be willing to do it though
I'm not mistaken. We went to school together with him, and he took the same class that my friend took, and he's extremely smart guy, my friend, which I won't mention his name is smarter than him and my other actually, a couple of my friends took the same class, I wish I would have paid attention I really didn't go that far like they did. But i'm happy to see him doing well
