I have been drawn to this video i dont know why wait oh no could it be- nnnoooooooo silksongs on this list
Vamp the Masquerade also got a spinoff (technically, Vampire is the most popular and "main" part of the universe) action game involving Werewolf. And another visual novel game in that, as well.
A funny addition to this list for the future would be Hellraid.
Literally in development hell, Hellraid was originally did a press release back in 2013, with an intended original date of 2015 for release. A bunch of delays later and nothing ever happened. Then in 2020, Hellraid was released as a DLC for Dying Light 1, a shell of what it was originally intended to be. Even now, Techland doesnt even list the game is "cancelled", but "on hold".
You could put practically anything Ubisoft on here, including future releases. Id say for almost a decade now, practically every game they released has been hit with at least 1 delay, if not cancelled, with the sole exception being Assassins Creed Mirage, which not only made its release date, but got it pushed forward. At this point, nobody should trust a Ubi announced title to arrive on time. And after waiting a decade for a government funded game that was originally just a spinoff of something they already did in a previous game and somehow disastrously bungled cough Skull and Bones. I wouldnt count on BGE2 to be any good unless they hand it off to another studio and do not interfere whatsoever.
"no we dont mean like the people trying to naruto run into area 51"
…did that joke get stuck in development hell for a few years?
Star Citizen is being grossly mismanaged. Even if they do release a good game, it's still a ridiculous saga that should never have happened.
what about "The Last Night"?
no elder scrolls 6?
it was announced in 2018, apparently didnt even start development in earnist until like 2023 and now has been rumored to be on hold thanks to the surprise success of the fallout tv show
DLC in an alpha WTF
One game I'm wondering about is Moroi – a top-down dark fantasy shooter from Northern Europe. No word since 2022, but if it's gone, I'm not surprised.
Legends remember a little game called lost soul aside. I think i heard its coming out this year.
HA! STAR CITIZEN! FKN CALLED IT!
Lol..
"I clapped when I saw it!"
I'm still not sure there ever will be a vampire the masquerade bloodlines 2…
State of decay 3 is definitely in development hell. Which is a shame, I'm very much looking forward to it.
I know Papa Nomura has been busy but plz KH4
You hurt my Hollow heart.
I am still (foolishly) holding out for Silksong 🥺.
Unpopular opinion.
I prefer the 2d metroid games, so the release of 5 was awesome.
Excuse me, 'Jennifer Hale, voice of *Aayla Secura*, thank you very much!' XD
I'm not worried about Metroid Prime 4. Pikmin 4 was announced with no trailer and went silent for many years before it got a surprise trailer and a close release date. I actually expect MP4 to be a launch title for the Switch 2.
i havnt finished the video but you cant include star citizen here … not anymore
Well if you develop your game long enough the generation will change and when the game launches its already PS6, is not only the publishers cutting development time, its the whole gaming industry. Why everything that gets profitable inevitably loses all its soul?
And I'm gonna call it: Silksong is only on that list because you hear people that wait for it.
It's still very much inside a reasonable timespan
I remember this one video where I think Mike who was complaining about how FF7 Remake and Bloodlines 2 were releasing so close to each other. And now here we are, a whole 2 Final Fantasy games later, with no Bloodlines 2.
Metroid Prime 4.
Been waiting forever
Star Citizen is a scam.
When Ubisoft cancels a game we all win.
The people still holding out for Star Citizen really gotta lay off the crack.
After that bloodlines gameplay, I’m seeing another delay for “polish” and it needs it
I don't get the love for Kotor. I played it because of the reputation, and found it to be at best, okay. Not great. Not legendary. Just okay. Wildly over hyped.
Beyond good and evil 2 just looked like slop anyways.
How bad was the original Metroid prime 4 by bamco is what I wanna know
Titanfall 3. I keep hoping, but that’s beginning to feel like a fool’s hope.
I was expecting wonderwoman to pop up here as well.
Until you cut to Beyond Good and Evil 2…I forgot Beyond Good and Evil and Perfect Dark were unrelated games, and thought you were already talking about Beyond Good and Evil 2.
The most baffling thing about the pig snorting a wasp was how LONG it was.
Were we supposed to be on the edges of our seats wondering what the outcome would be?
I fear haunted choclatere is in development hell. At least we have Stardew.
I'd like to pour one out for 90's Super GP. Apparently more or less finished but the Dev and publisher are fighting.
The game that had been hoping for but almost 100% dead is Wild
Where the hell is The elder of scrolls 6? both from this list and irl?
Ubisoft disappoints me more than my emotionally bankrupt dad
Perfect FARK….
I thought Star Citizen was labelled as the biggest con job for backers in Videogame history? I still keep seeing promotional adverts on Reddit for it and people saying "It's going to be great!" to my reply of "You are being suckered more than a Nigerian Prince" and yet they still are delusional that it is "coming out soon".
I surely dont believe Silksong is in dev hell as much as it is just a game crafted by a small indie team of perfectionist maniacs that deliberately know that they'll get hunt down in the streets if the game isnt as good as Hollow Knight.
